About this deal

Uswitch Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under firm reference number 312850. That's 12GB of RAM for the Galaxy S20 Plus 5G, but if you opt for the 4G version you'll get 8GB of RAM. We've yet to test that version of the device, but we believe 8GB of RAM should be enough to get you through everyday tasks.

Yes, the S20 Plus has gotten a price bump over the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, presumably due to the added 5G compatibility. It pushes the phone to new heights of flagship prices, which is frustrating – especially given the limited availability of the cheaper 4G model, and notably the Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus actually has a lower launch price. At a stunning refresh rate of 120Hz, whatever you're watching is always crisply smooth and full of detail. And if you want to adjust the picture yourself there are a range of customisation options such as colour, sharpness and saturation so you can get the display looking just as you want it to. How big is the Samsung Galaxy S20+ battery? The single center-aligned punch-hole for the front-facing camera looks cleaner, and obstructs less of the display, than the lozenge-shaped cutout housing two lenses on the S10 Plus. Less noticeable unless the two phones are side-by-side is that the new Plus model has no top lip or bottom chin – its bezel is evenly sparse. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus’ 6.7-inch AMOLED display is sharp and vibrant, with WQHD+ resolution (3200 x 1440). The display is a shade taller than the S10 Plus’ QHD+ (3040 x 1440) screen, which is likely due to it having less bezel at the top and bottom. But you likely won’t notice a difference given how similar they are – at least until you get to the refresh rate. The Plus stands for more display, more memory, more battery power and a time-of-flight depth sensor. Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus 5G Samsung’s S-series phones have always boasted top-tier specs, and the S20 Plus is no exception. Its Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset in the US or Exynos 990 in other countries (including the UK and Australia) and 12GB of RAM baseline breeze through games, media binges, and multi-app multitasking. Get ready for what Samsung are calling the “smartphone camera to end all cameras”. The Galaxy S20+ has everything you need to take great pics thanks to a 64MP Telephoto Camera, 10MP Front Camera and 12MP Wide Camera. So whether it’s a stunning wide angle landscape, a zoomed in close-up or a show stopping selfie the Galaxy S20+ will have your friends thinking you’re a professional photographer.

Your favourite smartphone content has never looked better than when it’s on the Galaxy S20+’s 6.7” Infinity-O Display. With just a tiny punch-hole selfie camera, the edge-to edge display is practically all screen giving you an immersive viewing experience. If you’re more of a moviemaker your clips just got a Hollywood level upgrade with the Galaxy S20+. Samsung's Super Steady 2.0 tech acts like a virtual gimbal, so you can get astonishingly smooth video even when you’re moving around at pace. Great for sports, gigs and all-action shooting. And best of all - it records in 8K Ultra HD. All your must-see moments will be watchable for years to come, with no compromise on quality - it’s a futureproof camera. So whether you're editing photos in Photoshop or Lightroom, or parachuting into your one-millionth round of PUBG, the Galaxy S20 Plus has the grunt to keep up. We tested it with media and games, and the phone handled everything without a problem – even when pumped up to 1440p resolution or 120Hz refresh rate, the phone didn’t heat up under pressure.I have had the Samsung Galaxy S20 plus with 5G for almost 7 months now and am perfectly happy with the device. It works great and flawlessly, it doesn't cause any problems or anything. The phone's battery lasts very long and works reliably, and the camera takes great photos as well as videos. The price-performance ratio is very good and you get great value for your money. Among the benefits of that 120Hz display is that, in games that support it, the onscreen framerate can reach much higher than the usual 60fps you get with phones that have 60Hz screens. In the onscreen Manhattan GFXBench test, the S20 Plus achieved an average frame rate of 105fps, which is among the highest we’ve ever seen in this test. (Note: we attempted to retest the OnePlus 7T Pro in this test but it remained capped at 60fps, despite the 90Hz option being selected in the display settings.) As for the display’s general properties, expect much the same as from the S10 Plus, with a very clear and detailed picture when watching content up to 1440p resolution. Despite technically having a higher-resolution screen than the one on the iPhone 11 Pro Max, both that phone and the S20 Plus showed roughly the same picture when demoing, say, a 1440p video on YouTube – though the Apple phone’s screen does have a slight edge in contrast, showing high-contrast subjects (like a lizard in the sun) in greater clarity. The cameras are better than the OnePlus 7T Pro for overall image quality but, if you’re buying a phone purely for the camera and don’t have a preference for either Apple or Android, I’d recommend the iPhone 11 Pro as the superior option. Samsung Galaxy S20 Pro review: Verdict

According to Geekbench 5, the S20 Plus was one of the most powerful smartphones on the market at the time, with a multi-core CPU score of 3,034 with the Snapdragon 865 (2774 with Exynos 990) that beat most other phones while, not surprisingly, coming up short of the S20 Ultra, which scored 3,286, and also trailing the iPhone 11 Pro Max, which scored 3,424. However, when it comes to day-to-day performance you're unlikely to notice significant performance differences between similarly-priced flagship rivals. I have had the Samsung S20 with 5G for 7 months and am happy with the phone. It can make calls and display the weather, which is enough. I find that the phone takes good photos and can zoom in up to 30 meters. The phone display is very well made and works flawlessly. The price-performance ratio is good, but I think that the phone deserved a better battery than the previous model for the price. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus is the awkward middle child of Samsung’s 2020 flagship phone range. It isn’t as fully featured as the top-of-the-range S20 Ultra and it’s more expensive than the S20, which has many of the same features. I deliberately chose the S20 Plus5G because I had previously read that Samsung's own processor is not so frugal with the battery capacities. In any case, the Snapdragon processor lasts for a very long time, I am thrilled. The technical qualities are beyond doubt, and a great camera is also on board. Performance is pretty swift as a result and, in the benchmarks, the S20 Plus put in a sterling performance. It isn’t quite as swift as the iPhone 11 Pro with its Apple A13 SoC but it’s fast enough to ensure snappy responsiveness in any task. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus was launched in the US, UK and Australia in March 2020. There are two variants of the phone; one with 5G, and another with only 4G.
