Sugar Skulls can be obtained by Day of the Dead celebrators, who will spawn on the lot if a Sim has offered a Sugar Skull to a gravestone at night. There are 9 unique sugar skulls that can be collected and a 10th gold one that will be unlocked if a Sim uses the "Honor the Dead" interaction on a Sugar Skull Display Case with all 9 unique sugar skulls. Families also head to graveyards on Day of the Dead for big picnics and parties, where they clean their relatives' graves, sing songs, and talk to their ancestors to make them feel loved, remembered and respected. As well as honouring their ancestors during Day of the Dead, the festival is also a reminder that death is just a part of life, and that one day they too will be a skeleton - but hopefully not for a very long time!
