About this deal

With your average round of golf being more than four hours, comfort is king when buying golf shoes. If your shoes are uncomfortable and hard-wearing on your feet, your mind will be distracted from playing good golf. Under Armour use ‘normal’ laces throughout their range of shoes. But most brands including FootJoy, adidas, Nike, and Ecco use a system called BOA. This lets you twist a dial to tighten the specially formulated laces and can provide a better fit that doesn’t loosen when playing. While BOA often creates a more secure fit, the look and feel aren’t for everyone and BOA models tend to be more expensive. Another great thing about some of the shoes on this list is that they all ooze bags of style. As with the majority of adidas' products, the brand uses the best and highest quality materials to create some really premium offerings. More recently adidas are implementing new cushioning technology into their golf shoes, known as their Lightstrike technology. Akin to their much-loved Boost cushioning, Lightstrike is set to change up the midsole game on some of the shoes they'll be releasing in the coming years, adding more comfort and support to your feet.

You get to try it when, where, and how you want for two weeks before deciding if you want to buy it or not. Generated from production waste, e.g. cutting scraps, and post-consumer household waste to avoid the larger environmental impact of producing virgin content. First things first, the aesthetics of the Adidas MC80 are inspired by adidas's archives from the 1980s and certainly remind us of a brogue style shoe. Cutting to the chase, the MC80 certainly scores high marks when it comes to the shelf appeal department and, if the pair that we tested don't appeal to your tastes, there are plenty of other colorways available that will suit.

And for those who want something a little more flamboyant, there is something for everyone in the nine different colour options. In particular, we really liked how comfortable they were and just how much they felt like trainers. There is also a good mount of grip on offer from the rubber traction nubs. It's by no means industry-leading in this category but it does the job on a dry day. Take a look at our guide on the best waterproof golf shoes for more options that will help you fend off the rain.

Trained by a range of manufacturers, including Titleist and TaylorMade, to enhance his product knowledge, Will has all of the skills required to recommend the perfect equipment for amateur golfers.Although not fully waterproof, it is water resistant, the Ultraboost has incredible breathability, with the mesh upper giving a supreme sense of comfort when we tested out on the course. What's more, we especially liked how the Ultraboost is not pretending to be something it's not. It’s not a shoe to play your 36-hole club championships in, but it is perfect for a casual round. With a silhouette so similar to that of the sneaker, they blend into pretty much any environment. We’ve worn them to work, to the gym and then straight to the golf course. Alongside the Cole Haan ZeroGrand Overtake, True Linkswear FS-01and Air Jordan 1 Low G, they are the most versatile golf shoes we’ve ever worn.
