About this deal

If you’ve ever wanted to transform your home entertainment system with a sensational next-level experience, Sennheiser has you covered. On channels and movies with a lot of sub-bass content, the RS 175 delivers plenty of depth. With bass mode on, high-bass solutions can get a little distorted at the top-end – so be careful. In case, you are looking for a headphone for studio use, then you can go for Sennheiser HD280Pro. Customer Support Decrease the volume of the analog audio source to at least a medium level if the volume is set too high.

The two headphones take different paths in only three areas: sound quality, sound isolation, and analog connectivity, with the latter being the most trivial. The RS 175 provide better sound isolation, with better passive noise isolation and lower sound leakage. Meanwhile, the RS 185 are better-sounding overall, with a more pleasant and better-balanced, not to mention less bass-heavy, sound profile. While both headphones include an analog cable for their transmitters, they use different types of cables. Sound Surround sound listening mode also makes you feel like you’re surrounded by high-performance speakers with virtual speaker placement. The innovative wireless technology even ensures that your transmission continues to be clear and compelling when you move around the house.Lastly as they are wireless they of course have a battery, and with the supplied rechargeable batteries you’ll be looking at around 18 hours of life before you have to place them on the cradle and get a nice charge on. This headphone has an ideal frequency response that is suitable for all genres of music and audio contents. The biggest problem that we had with these headphones is that the surround sound mode did make the audio on specific programs feel a little distorted at times. The RS175 is an interesting category for this type of wireless device. On the one hand, you definitely don’t want the headphones to die in the middle of a movie or a game. On the other hand, you’re theoretically not bringing them on the go, so you’re always around a charger. Sennheiser bills the battery life at about 18 hours of listening time on a single charge. We can say that this is close, though perhaps a bit optimistic, considering how our battery life was trending. My first pair were RS 65's, which were luxuriously comfortable with felt earpads but used too small button style batteries in an enclosed case that were difficult to replace. With a young baby at the time though, it was the only way I could indulge in my love of movies on a nightly basis on my projector setup and not drive my wife to contemplate murder/suicide.

The transmission strength is excellent here too. Sennheiser believes you can travel a distance of up to 330 feet without losing your connection. It was difficult to test this in our office – but we had no problem when walking around spaces and closing doors. Signals even worked well through walls. Sennheiser RS 175 review: PerformanceIf you're hearing beeps when you turn the volume up or down on the headphones it means you're at the maximum or minimum volume I think. It's easy to get the volume up and down buttons mixed up on the headphones without looking as they are close. Are you pressing the right button? Maybe you've just turned the volume all the way down accidentally? The RS175s offer the addition of an optical digital output. This is helpful to have, especially if you want to employ the surround features since that’s how most people send and receive high-resolution audio from their TVs. The optical option means that you’ll be able to connect the receiver through the same means as your soundbar or speaker setup.

After quite a journey trying to overcome the fact that I have a hearing deficit in the high frequency range, I now have the solution. Sennheiser RS 175 radio frequency headphones allow me to watch television without missing a thing. It's such a pleasure to be able to hear all the speech clearly, as opposed to having to guess some of it (at times much of it). I tried Bluetooth headphones and found many problems. Sometimes they would not connect to the transceiver and I would have to turn them off and on again, then hope they would make the conne ... I can now walk out of the room and even outside if the need arises (ie. get wood for the fire), and still hear the TV quite clearly. The transmitter is also portable, and the headphone design is not bulky either. All the controls are placed on the headphone pad. The control system is easy, as you can see. You just need a little practice to remember the functions. Build Quality & DurabilitySennheiser introduced its wireless headphone home theatre range a little while ago, featuring the incredible Sennheiser RS 175. This powerful stand and transmitter gives you an incredible home-theatre experience, ideal for movies, and your favorite television shows. Because I feel pressure around my ear after using them for an extended time, sometimes my ears hurt and feel numb too. Nevertheless , both of these headphones have stereo speakers. 6.
