About this deal

To conclude, if you are on a very tight budget and you are looking for a standard tower fan that has a decent air flow and variable speed settings to cool you down, then you should consider this Honeywell model. The problem is that the app is all you get as far as remote controls are concerned. That isn't ideal for a shared space, as the fan can only connect with one device at a time. In other words, if someone else pairs with the fan, your connection gets cut. If you have already started looking into tower fans, then you will be aware that there are many brands on the market at the moment and some of them are better than others. Features: 102cm - 5 Speeds - 90 Degrees Oscillation - Remote Control - Automatic Dimmer - 82.5 x 27.4 x 20.2 cm - 4.2kg Pros:

We use a fan upstairs to supplement our AC. I use to cool the bedroom/office where I've been working since Covid hit and to cool my side of the bed. Our old fan was a pedestal mount with a 20" blade and at its lowest speed produced too much air to work comfortably. Running it all night would dry out my sinuses. And it was noticeably loud, especially at night. So I was pleasantly surprised to discover that its performance is excellent. I bought it to improve poor air circulation in one bedroom (used as a den) of a two-bedroom condo, which was routinely at least 3C warmer than the other rooms. With the fan positioned at the far side of the room and pointed at the door (without oscillation) it drops the difference to 1C within 30 minutes and eventually eliminates it. I made a crude toilet-paper device to test the airflow (see video) and you can see solid movement at the door 12 feet away from the fan on high (power cool) speed. On level 5 the airflow is reduced by about half, and on the slowest speed (sleep) I measured moderate airflow at 5 feet. One of the best ways for you to keep cool this summer is to invest in a high quality tower fan, whether this is for your home or your office. A good tower fan really can make the world of difference. What I appreciate most is that the lowest speed setting produces just the right amount of air - a light breeze - to work comfortably for 8 hrs+ without drying out my eyes. And it's nearly silent. During the day I can't hear it unless I'm right next to it, and at night it's barely audible. Because it's tall, the airflow covers my entire body, which provides a greater level of comfort. We tested all 5 modes and we were really impressed by how powerful each of them is. We were also really surprised by how quiet this fan was, even at the medium to high wind modes. We wanted to test out the night mode next. I loved the sleek silhouette and wood grain accents of this Lasko tower fan. It was also the third-quietest fan that I tested, measuring just a few decibels noisier than the Honeywell. On top of that, it features Bluetooth, which lets you control the oscillating fan via an app on your phone. To see whether or not this Honeywell model is right for you, we have reviewed the tower fan and its features in more detail below, as well as its pros and cons.

This Honeywell model can be controlled via its remote control from a distance and has an 8-hour timer to control when you want the fan to automatically turn off and shut down at specific times. Taking the tower fan out of the box, the first thing that we needed to do was to assemble the fan. Fortunately, we were very happy to see that this was just a matter of screwing the base onto the fan which took us only a matter of minutes. We were then ready to test the fan out properly. I can't rate the remote control because there were no batteries included. I'll buy some eventually, but I don't really need the remote. It would be useful in a bedroom as would the light-dimming feature and the timer. As for the base, it is certainly on the flimsy side (see photo prior to assembly). The two halves snap together so the base is not solid. The base weighs 450 grams out of a total weight of just over 3kg, so its quite top-heavy. It wobbles if tapped heavily on the side, but I doubt that it would ever fall over in my setting, and it has the advantage of being light enough to easily move around. The base is hollow so you could easily weight it with something of that was a real problem. On top of all of that, the TP04 features app-enabled smarts. I'll admit I didn't spend too much time testing all of the features out, but the app offers a detailed look at the air quality in your home and it lets you create custom cooling schedules, too. You can also use it to customize the fan's autopilot mode to your liking. The TP04 also supports voice control via Alexa or via Siri.If you want to control your fan with a smart plug, then you'll need to use something simpler, like this Lasko floor fan. Ry Crist/CNET Overall, we think for the price, this Honeywell tower fan has a great level of power and speed options for control, its oscillation is good for a small room and its quiet system makes the fan especially useful on hotter summer nights. Downfalls of the design have to be its base which is said to be a little wobbly during oscillation. Pros & Cons Of The Honeywell Quietset Whole Room Tower Fan What we really liked about this was that it was not only quiet, but it also has an automatic light dimmer which dims the LED by 50%. We found that it was dim enough to not disrupt sleep at all.
