The Ranger S2 child carrier is the perfect, modern travel essential and upgraded version of the original Ranger. As my daughter is quite big, I did find it a bit fiddly to fasten the carrier’s central strap in front of my child, simply as there was not a lot of room to get my hands down inside.

Storage capacity in the Ranger is minimal to save on weight with just two small zipped pockets on the waist belt. The LittleLife Ranger S2 is a light, streamlined backpack carrier for babies and children aged 6 months to 3 years. But I could feel the bar at the base of my back, despite the padding, which was uncomfy on long walks.My daughter hates being confined to a pushchair, so I was desperate to find something more suitable for walks. The LittleLife Ranger S2 Child Carrier is lightweight and easy to carry and perfect for families that want to ditch the pushchair and take on tougher terrain. Yes, the base of the carrier is very narrow and I felt as though I was carrying a normal rucksack - it was easy to forget there was anyone in the back. The Ranger S2 has a helpful anchor point, which you can put your foot on to ensure the carrier remains stable whilst you place your child in the seat.

A lot of it is common sense though and I found it easier to sort out with my 12-month-old in position. Comfortable for both you and your child, the Ranger S2 has many features so you can get up and go hiking!

It's comfortable for short walks, but if you are planning longer hikes I'd consider investing in a more expensive or more comfortable model. My son has always been tall for his age and we always struggled, even when he was tiny to find a carrier that was comfortable to wear. The Ranger did not look out of place when we strolled through an art gallery and Hannah loved her elevated vantage point. The Ranger S2 child carrier is a modernised version of the original Ranger and has updated fabrics throughout and a newly designed face pad.The carrier is suitable for heights from 5' 1" to 6' 1", and we are easily able to adjust it for my husband to use it too. All of our carriers and accessories have been designed so that both parent and baby are as comfortable as possible on their new adventures.
