Concur. I know some people like hard metrics (and I have, repeatedly, argued for a price-per-weight metric), but consumers should be able to apply an "eyeball test" of whether they feel comfortable with the price just by looking at the product. This way it's still more on the affordable side for the actual vehicle and attract buyers already in that price space. But those who want to have the "Expedition" version can buy the add-on set, or some may even want to buy 2 Defender sets so they can have the standard and the Expedition sitting side by side.

Of course the real car isn’t called ‘classic’ anywhere in its title, but we suppose both LEGO and Land Rover are keen to remind us that there is indeed another Defender on the market. Replicating the short wheel-base ’90’ hardtop, 10317 does wear Land Rover’s marvellous heritage green colour (as re-used on the final run of ‘classic’ Defenders) superbly though, with a good proportion of the set’s colossal 2,336 pieces in the hue, including the wheels and the new wheel-arch parts similar to those that first debuted on the ‘other’ Defender set some four years ago. Under the bonnet, there’s space for one of two engines designed for off-road driving and smoother terrain, adding another level of customisation on top of the different driving modes. The fact that the bonnet can be held up with the included folding support strut is a wonderfully functional detail too.The combination of springs and struts forming the suspension is the most elaborate and effective I have encountered on a LEGO vehicle. The entire axle assemblies are sprung rather than the individual wheels, and it works really well, although the springs are perhaps a little too stiff for the weight of the vehicle. The vehicle is 1:12 so if we assume a height of 6 foot for the driver he'd be 6 inches tall. Scala figure Christian is 6.5 inches tall, so a scale of 1:11, which is slightly too tall. I have also seen some other users having a similar problem and some recommended bizarre solutions such as 'Turning off the PC and removing the power cord for 10 seconds' or leave it as it is and Windows will fix it, to updating certain drivers (Since this one was for Intel Adapter, I didn't apply it). I would like a more fundamental solution that I can understand.

So I tried the method of running it in a different OS, and I tried it both on my dual boot system (On Ubuntu) and a bootable usb drive. And the wifi did NOT connect, in fact it showed wifi adapter not found in settings! Of course any real Land Rover Defender driver wouldn’t be within 100 miles of those items – with their vehicle instead carrying a flask of tea, a roll of duct-tape, and a sheep – but you can always build these at home for true Defender authenticity. I build at least one LEGO set each month so working with the two brands together has been an epic adventure,” Moharrak added. “From getting to race across the Scottish Highlands in a classic Defender to trying to be the first to reach the hardest-to-reach LEGO Store in the world – and being one of the first to play with the new set – it really was a dream come true.” I think it’s safe to say that LEGO are on to a winner here with 10317 Land Rover Classic Defender 90. The design just oozes class, and in particular, the colours work really well together too.The 2023 LEGO Land Rover Classic Defender 90’s dimensions are 32cm (12.5″) long, 16cm (6″) high, and 16cm (6″) wide, without the accessories.
