On the 26th November 2003, the last British Airways Concorde G-BOAF flew low over her birth city of Bristol, before landing at the Filton airfield factory site where she had been built just 24 years earlier. There are two sprues moulded in black styrene for primarily engine parts and the in-flight display stand, one sprue moulded in silver styrene with undercarriage parts, a sprue of vinyl wheels and lastly one sprue for clear parts.

The first flght of the British Aircaft Corporation and Aerospatiale joint production was on 2nd March 1969. The decal sheet is vast, that’s an A3 cutting mat underneath and the sheet is slightly larger than the box itself, however it depicts all three of the schemes used during the lifespan of the Concorde operated by British Airways, with the serials of all seven aircraft. On January 21, 1976, a new era of commercial scheduled air transport opened under the colors of Air France and British Airways.The Revel kit in 1:72 is a fairly good fit, although watch out for the nose/visor mechanism as its very brittle.

In 1956, France and England simultaneously began studies for a supersonic transport aircraft. The cockpit interior is detailed with seats, decaled instrument panels, and the unusual control yokes, but little can be seen through the windows. Airfix's (and Heller's - soon-to-be released with Air France markings) new Concorde kit provides a great addition to the small but significant line of 1/72 scale airliner kits. In 1961, these studies resulted in two separate projects, which merged on November 29, 1962 into a single project involving four main companies: Aérospatiale, BAC, Rolls-Royce and SNECMA. The flag designs for the fin were a bit undersize, not quite reaching the leading-edge panel lines as shown in the instructions.The fin's leading- edge fairing is thicker than the small fairing on the central fuselage, so I built up the difference with epoxy putty. Faced with precursors such as Airfix in the 50s, the company Heller stands out and positions itself as a competitor in the market.
