About this deal

Oakley, Persol and RayBan had some of the best we could find. So, if you’re just into retro copywriting or fancy a trip down memory lane, we’ve assembled some of the best and most compelling adverts from the heyday of print. Cyclops' body is naturally immune to the beams' force.[110] His mind projects a psionic field that envelops his body rendering it immune to his optic beam, allowing him to shut it off by simply closing his eyes. Scott is also immune to the power of his brother Alex (Havok) who has the ability to emit waves of energy that heat the air into plasma. Likewise Havok has demonstrated immunity to Cyclops' optic beam. Scott has been shown as being able to absorb Storm's lightning bolt, although this act caused Cyclops a great deal of pain.[111] The ruby quartz used in his battle visor has been said to be resonate with his body's psionic field. Scott has only a limited resistance to his brother Vulcan's powers. Easily the most futuristic sunglasses design during the ‘80s, cyclops sunglasses featured a mono-lens design for maximum facial coverage. Inspired by sci-fi films, these robotic-looking shades wrap closely around your head for full eye protection and maximum retro aesthetics. Cyclops shades are having a resurgence in both sports and avantgarde fashion. X-Men: The Last Stand director Brett Ratner purposefully didn't show Cyclops' corpse to leave an open door for his character to return. Only his glasses are shown, leaving his survival unknown. Ultimately, Cyclops did return in X-Men: Days of Future Past, but due to his presumed death being undone by the altered timeline.

Compared to some of his teammates, the changes between Cyclops' team uniform and his individual uniform are rather minor, the main one being the replacement of yellow with blue on his chest. He received the costume in "Uncanny X-Men" #39, with Jean having designed new costumes for the five; as Professor X stated, "It's time the team looked like individuals -- not products of an assembly line!" Cyclops would keep this costume design, with minor modifications, until he left the X-Men in "Uncanny X-Men" #201. The easiest way to know your face shape is to draw around your face and hairline using a printed self-portrait photograph or using your phone. The basic overall shape of your face should then become clear. Observe your forehead, cheekbones, and jawline. If they're all roughly the same width, then you likely have a round face. If your jawline is narrower than your cheekbones, then you probably have an oval face. And if your forehead is the widest part of your face, with your cheekbones and jaw tapering down from there, then you likely have a heart-shaped face. Once you've determined your face shape, you can start shopping for sunglasses that will flatter your features. After breaking out of prison during the Avengers vs. X-Men aftermath, Cyclops now sports a totally different attire with an X-shaped visor symbolizing the mutants and his planned revolution. Outside Cerebro, Logan asks Jean if she ever used Cerebro, and she answers she has not, because it takes a certain degree of control, and for someone like her it is dangerous, as noted by Scott. Inside, Xavier manages to locate Rogue at the train station after a short search. Logan starts leaving to find her but Xavier stops him, saying that if he will leave the mansion Magneto will capture him. Instead, he sends Cyclops and Storm to find her. In the garage, Scott and Ororo prepare to leave, when Scott notices that his motorcycle is missing. She reaches her hand to take his glasses off, but he stops her, asking what she's doing. She asks him to trust her, saying she can control it now. She takes off his glasses, but he closes his eyes, still too frightened of hurting her. She tells him to open them, and he slowly and carefully opens his eyes. At first, his eyes glow red, but no optic blasts are shot. Then, slowly, the red glow fades and his eyes appear in their natural color. Overwhelmed by all this, Scott grabs her and kisses her. They share a long dramatic kiss, but then she opens her eyes and something strange happens to him. In Xavier's School, the professor senses Cyclops' distress. Telepathically, Scott's name is heard all over the school. Clearly, something is horribly wrong. Wolverine and Storm run through the halls hysterically to Xavier's office, not knowing what the hell happened. They burst open his door and ask if he's okay, and he tells them to get to Alkali Lake. Wolverine and Storm return to the location soon after and Logan can only find Scott's glasses.

Skilled Leader: Scott led his fellow X-Men on missions and trained and taught many students at the school. Storm and Professor X make it to the infirmary, where Logan tells them that he thinks Jean killed Scott, but Storm says that's not possible. X-Uniform: Like his fellow X-Men Scott wears his protective X-Uniform while going out on missions. It is designed to protect him in battle and he has worn many variants of costumes across different decades and timelines.

The power of Cyclops' optic blasts is well-known. Less well-known is that he also has the power to make readers' eyes bleed: at least that's the effect that was achieved by this garish and short-lived outfit that only appeared in one issue, "X-Men" #35 by the creative team of Fabian Nicieza and Liam Sharp. The issue sees Scott and Jean have their honeymoon interrupted when they assist with S.H.I.E.L.D.'s attempt to deal with a powerful mutant. In the aftermath of the "Avengers vs X-Men" event, Cyclops was at a crossroads in his life. Despite his best intentions, he had succumbed to the power of the Phoenix, killing Charles Xavier in the process. He had successfully achieved his goal of safeguarding the future of mutantkind, but at the cost of nearly all of his friendships and family ties. Showing his unshakable determination, Cyclops still wanted to help mutants. He formed a new team, with members that included Magneto and Emma Frost, and embarked on a self-professed mutant revolution. Cyclops shows his humor with Wolverine by being more sarcastic such as making fun of his dislike for the X-Men uniforms, he is one of the few people to actually banter with Logan and his insults. Despite Logan and Scott having a lot of angry tension between them, their was mutual respect. In the original timeline, after Jean Grey died, Cyclops mourned her death, hearing her voices in his head. Professor X was concerned if he was to ever be the same man he was, as now he put off his duties to train students and left that to Storm and Wolverine. Professor X had always planned for Scott to take his place as headmaster of the school, but this duty fell to Storm due to Scott's death in the original timeline.

In the 1980’s, Wayfarer sunglasses were a symbol of style, attitude, and power. And no brand was more associated with this image than Ray-Ban. Thanks to their association with celebrities and movie stars, Wayfarers became the must-have accessory for anyone who wanted to look cool. He is later spotted by Wolverine, teaching an automotive class, while holding hands with Jean. After Jean ran some tests on Wolverine, she explains to Professor X, Cyclops and Storm her findings about Wolverine – a supposedly indestructible metal called adamantium is fused to his entire skeleton. Ororo asks how could he have survived a procedure like that, and Jean explains that his mutation is a healing factor, which also makes his age impossible to determine – he could very well be older than the professor. Storm asks who did this to him, and she says that he doesn't know, nor does he remember anything that happened before it. Xavier muses that it must have been experimentation on mutants. Cyclops asks him what he thinks Magneto wants with him, and Xavier says that he's not entirely sure that it's him Magneto wants. Round faces will want to go for glasses with more angles, while squarer faces can get away with a rounder pair. Once you've found the perfect frame, it's time to have some fun with colour. Go for a bright neon shade or a vintage tortoiseshell acetate.Meanwhile, Andre Agassi and John McEnroe famously wore large mono-lens sunglasses with high base-curve injected plastic lightweight frames. If you’re looking for that 80’s tennis court look, choose large mirrored lenses with a tight wraparound curvature. Blenders eyewear offer all kinds of frames and sun lenses for different sports and light conditions. The president asks how they got it, and the professor answers that he knows a little girl who can walk through walls. The president says that he's never seen this information, and Xavier says he knows that. The president says he doesn't respond well to threats, and Xavier says that this is not a threat – this is an opportunity. There are forces in this world, he says, both human and mutant alike, who believe that a war is coming. As he can see from the files, some had already tried to start one, and there have been casualties – losses, on both sides. He ends by telling the president that what he's about to tell the world is true: this is a moment – a moment to repeat the mistakes of the past, or to work together for a better future. They're there to stay – the next move is his. Logan says that they'll be watching, as lightning brightens all their faces, and suddenly they disappear and all the lights turn on again. The president is silent, not sure what to tell the cameras. Depending on your tastes, it was a golden era for music, art, design, cars and most certainly sunglasses. The red edition worn by Max is currently unavailable, however the Havana edition (seen below) is a timeless look. If you prefer a more traditional style, these hazy amber and brown shades are eternally fashionable and bring a lovely warmth to your skin. The brown lenses provide a natural summery filter too!
