About this deal

I'm not sure if this is recommended, but I put the food chopper in the dishwasher on the top shelf. I just take the chopper apart into four pieces. This always cleans the chopper as well as if I washed it by hand.

I got a Pampered Chef Food Chopper about 10+ years ago and still have it. It works by putting food inside the clear cylinder area at the bottom and then patting/pushing the top of the stem down with your palm, which lowers the stainless blades and rotates them with each chop. The size of the chopped product is not uniform, but close. It doesn't matter to me, except when chopping walnuts because by dicing them, there seems to be a lot of walnut "dust" mixed with the end product. As mentioned earlier, an electric chopper turns on with the push of a button. Some food choppers use a pull device that feels almost like starting a gas chain saw. This causes the blades to rotate, which is satisfying to use but isn’t the most user-friendly. You can easily switch the grinder between a fine and coarse grind, depending on which direction you crank the handle The easy-to-remove base makes it simple to collect the nuts once you finish chopping them. Food choppers are one step above a regular knife, generally giving the same performance as a manual knife in terms of chopping performance, but they do it faster and more efficiently. These basic appliances are all going to be manually activated, because any motorized unit takes away from the simplicity of the design. Plus, motorized units begin to blur the line between a food chopper and a miniature food processor, and choppers are what this list is all about. The food chopper consists of several blades that are pushed down and sometimes twist automatically. This chops up your food from different angles creating small, roughly chopped pieces. Other food choppers have replaceable blades that offer a variety of cuts. This tool helps you chop food in less time and with less effort than a standard chopping knife. I bought this product about six years ago after a friend of mine, who hosts a lot of dinner parties, said it was a must have. I do think it is handy when you have a large amount of various vegetables to chop up, but I usually still find it easier and more convenient just to chop up veggies on my cutting board unless I have a lot to do. It does perform well, and I should probably use it more often than I do, but I usually only use it about once a month. The Pampered Chef Food Chopper does a good job at chopping your foods into small pieces. It's all manual and simple to use. You have control on how small you dice and chop your pieces based on how long or how much you chop. It does have some limitations because of its size. I used mine to chop up some green onions and I had to slice the green onions up first to get them to fit inside the chopper. To get it to chop you have to punch down on the top with the palm of your hand. It took a few times to get them small enough for what I needed. This chopper comes at a mid-range price point. It is a great value, especially if you are looking for a multi-functional nut chopper. You can get a food chopper in a variety of bright colors to compliment your kitchen. If you want something a little more stylish, there are plenty of food choppers on the market that fit this description. Blades

Soaking the parts in hot soapy water is a great way to remove any remaining residue. If you can, it’s a good idea to get into the nooks and crannies around the blade, inside the food pressers, and around the tube with a bottle brush or toothbrush. In the case of electric food processors, make sure that the device is cooled down and unplugged if you are going to wipe the base with a hot, damp cloth. Never submerge the electronic base in water. Opt for stainless steel blades. They will remain sharp for a long time and are easy to clean. Food chopper price rangePlace the Food Chopper directly over portioned food on a cutting board or in the cap. It may be necessary to divide the food into smaller portions before chopping; i.e. cut an onion into quarters. Overfilling may cause more resistance and inconsistency with cut size. Add food in batches if too much resistance is felt. Ninja makes an excellent 200 Watt Power nut chopper. This is a high-rated food processor that works well for cutting vegetables and chopping hard nuts.

Once desired consistency is reached, remove lid and carefully remove blade post by holding onto the top of the post. Remove food from vessel with a scraper.Depending on what kind of food you would like to make, Sedhoom 23 in 1 can be the right choice. It comes with so many pieces; however, it stores itself inside, making it an excellent compact item for your kitchen. Best Food Chopper For Onions It is easy to store and simple to use, and the perfect thing when I have a small copping job," Allstar Linda Crumbaugh says. "The blade rotates as you press down, giving a nice, consistent chop, and you can go as fine as you'd like. It certainly helps save time during meal prep! Unlike with some electric choppers, this manual chopper gives you more control over the grind size. You won’t have to worry about your nuts breaking the chopper. This tool features two ultra-sharp rotating stainless steel blades that can withstand hard nuts like almonds and walnuts. All of that said, this might work well for an older person who cooked but couldn't cut with a knife very well. I've had this [food chopper] for two or three years, and I love to use it to chop up Oreos for dirt cake, nuts, and anything that I can fit into it versus getting out my food processor," Allstar Tasha Barbour says. "Only thing is it has to be screwed on just right along with the lid safety precaution and the on button is the handle, which seems odd. It works great but takes a minute to figure it out."
