About this deal

It was shortly revived in 2017 with the release of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Mean Tell No Tales. Because of this I’m always just a little surprised and pleased when a toy will actually fire a projectile. There's a lot of playability here, but a row boat and a full contingent of cannons would be welcome. I know first hand experience that it’s very difficult to photograph a black model, and they did a fine job of it (of course, they’ve mastered the art) but why make all the box so dark?

Now that you’ve read a review on a set produced by a third-party manufacturer, what are your thoughts? We aren’t entirely sure whether Lepin had made any improvements on the ship as the review photos were taken in Sept. We don't claim any ownership on their stuff that we feature on this site, just copyright on our words and self-made videos. When I was a kid the toys were properly dangerous, from the scolding hot Thingmaker to the launching missiles of the Colonial Viper.

Some of us ‘ship-lovers’ could go a step further and use those paper templates to produce a set of real nice cotton sails. Honestly, the Pearl is like a pimp version of the Renagade Runner if that gives you all a better idea.

I had lots of fun assembling it 1 bag after the other - next thing I know I have sat around 2 hours and I have already finished the boat. Whether you’re a fan of the series or not, one glimpse at her pitch-black sails and ebony hull is enough to make your knees wobble and blood run cold! Connor’s only complaint was the eyes, which he thought were a bit too ‘zombie’ and I had to agree.

All the structural issues are really not that huge and unfixable, even an 8-year old could find a way to add several plates here and there to improve support. This figure was an instant classic from the moment it first appeared in prototype form at Comic Con in 2010. Connor was impressed that the claw is able to grasp standard rod parts and was sure to test this capability as soon as the figure was complete. Now built is great looking and impressive good value for the money as Lego is expensive, There was one piece missing from the set so contacted Lego on there web site and it was replaced with in days.

With swords, pistol, telescope, and compass accessories in hand, you can pit Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Davy Jones, Joshamee Gibbs, Maccus, and Bootstrap Bill against the ghostliest of enemies. Of course this was in that confusing, clusterfrak of a movie Pirates of the Carbibbean At World’s End, so I could be mistaken. I didn't compare the two because I did not want to turn the review into me ranting about lack of cannons and details etc. Inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean films, this replica of Captain Jack Sparrow's "nigh uncatchable" ship is crafted from more than 800 LEGO pieces for a highly detailed appearance. While the Queen Anne’s Revenge was a pretty cool ship, where was the Black Pearl, Captain Jack Sparrow’s beloved ship? One thing I didn't like, But there was a quick fix was the front MAST/Sail the wire rigging to position the sail. I very much appreciate the captain's special study room - that you can open and reveal the insides and the study - that was very neat. Pros: The assembly process is very easy on the eyes as the instructions manuals (there are 2 of them, yup it's that cool) and it's fine for people, like me, who has a bit of a nimble fingers.
