It really gets students focused and working on task as a team and can be a saviour to fill the last ten minutes on a class when you have run out of ideas!
Group members walk to the side of the bus (rope) they associate with or even a statement they agree on. Each person then has to fill out answers on their sheet for each category, starting with the chosen letter. For example, if the chosen letter is L, you could choose Laura, Liam, Lemon, Llama, London, and Lavender for your answers. If it gets too difficult with certain letters (and you can’t think of one for each category) reduce the amount of words they have to get. You can say, 'OK, for this round you can Stop the Bus with four columns.' Teach children about adding more by providing a set of objects in a container and then invite them to add more. Calculate the answer by counting the total number of objects.As a group decide on seven categories for the columns. They can be any categories, as long as there are a good number of possible things that fit in each one. For example: food, colours, trees, countries, body parts, etc… The choosing is part of the fun. Each sheet has some categories already chosen and then there are spaces for you to add your own. There’s a space to put the letter for each round as well as scoring boxes. Barnaby is a quirky inventor with a penchant for gadgets and gizmos. His unruly hair and perpetual smudge of grease on his overalls give him a distinctive, eccentric appearance. Once the timer has buzzed, you then go through each category reading out your answers. If your answer matches someone else’s you get 5 points. If your answer is unique, you get 10 points. Mark the points on the answer square. Then add up your points for your round score.

You get three bus tokens, and you only lose bus tokens if you are last in the round. So the most important thing in this card game is to make sure that you are not last because the last player loses a token. Oscar, a peculiar inventor and enthusiast of gadgets, equips Billie with a variety of clever devices and contrivances to assist her in surmounting challenges and unraveling enigmas. The undo button allows you to undo one move at a time, all you need to do is prepare your strategy for your next move. Once you land on a space, you'll notice it has a number on it. Work out what number you'd have to add to it to make 10, and that's your first number bond.
