About this deal

With that said, there is a slight digital texture to the tones, but not too much to make the pianos sound bad. The Donner DEP-10 is an excellent piano for beginners who are starting to learn piano. This piano holds several useful features and accessories that escalate the piano playing experience to a great level. This full-size digital piano is loaded with several unique features and functions to suit different music styles. Full-Weighted 88 key keyboard】The digital electric piano is constructed by 88 full-sized hammer action keys with adjustable touch response. This 88-key weighted keyboard allows to adjust your desired playing style. This instrument has built-in speakers, so those just starting out won’t have to worry about connecting external ones

The Donner DEP-20 comes with split mode, which is a very useful feature, especially for performing and experimenting. With this mode you can divide the piano into two different zones, each with a different voice. For example, you can play piano with the right hand and bass or even drums with the right hand. This gives the illusion of playing multiple instruments at once and is great in performing and accompanist settings. He also says the sustain pedal that comes with it is really high-quality. He said ‘It’s sturdy, not a flappy one!’ In terms of weight, the keyboard piano was not too light, but calling it portable was a stretch. As for sound, the piano sound was realistic, but the pedal that came with the piano was not great as it had a horrible dead zone before it could properly register. However, the reverb setting improved the sound, although it was a bit hidden. I appreciated the different voice and instrument options, as well as the ability to write directly into music composing software on my devices, as I am a composer myself. The piano volume was great too. I set it to about 40%, and it sounded about 75% of how a grand piano would sound in your ears. Both pianos come with all the basic connectivity features such as extra outputs for plugging into an external speaker. Additionally, they also have a headphone output so you can practice in private and really immerse yourself in the tone of your piano.Donner isn’t a well-known brand like Casio, Yamaha, or Roland, but they make great digital pianos for beginners to intermediates. So, let’s see what the DEP-10 is all about! Donner DEP-10 Features 8 Total Tones

The main piano sound has an authentic enough feel, especially for beginners. You definitely feel you get more than you paid for, as much as the main sound is concerned. I am not so sure of the other sounds, I mostly concentrate on the piano, but again, you would probably use the other sounds just for diversity. Polyphony Another similarity between the two is their connectivity options and polyphony. Both of the pianos support MIDI connectivity, which opens a whole range of different possibilities. And with 128-note maximum polyphony, you can easily play wide and dense chords with a lot of notes without worrying about a dip in sound quality. Digital pianos focus on quality over quantity, so both of these models have fairly limited sound libraries. Conclusion: Overall, Donner DEP-10 is a great entry-level digital piano that offers a realistic playing experience with its hammer action keys and variety of voices. It is lightweight and portable, making it easy to move and store. However, the built-in speakers could be improved, and the sustain pedal could be of better quality. Nevertheless, it is a great value for the price and is highly recommended for beginners and intermediate players. Donner is a pretty obscure brand to most people; they are actually a Chinese company that began in 2012 making guitar accessories, and at some point since then have decided to branch out and make a digital piano. They have a few pianos in their range, including the DEP-10 which we're also taking a look at in a separate review. They're hardly a household name, but they're an up and coming brand and the DEP-20 is one of their most popular offerings. At 1:50 you can hear Cole playing the basic piano tone. Honestly? It sounds better than we expect! It’s lush and realistic.

At first sight, the keyboard seams to have certain weak points. Like for example the fact that it’s only semi-weighted. I can’t say it doesn’t feel pretty nice when played, but there is a clear difference between this keyboard and that of many other models. And it’s not in favor of the DEP-10. The Donner DEP-10 comes with 8 different voices while the Alesis Recital only comes with 5. While both pianos have similar types of voices, you simply have more choices with the Donner DEP-10, which is why it is the winner in this comparison. Double Keyboard & Control Panel】This 88 key weighted keyboard provides dual-tone mode for combining two voices together, like piano and drum, inspiring to make a new creation. Panel includes sustain pedal, triangle pedal and audio inputs & outputs, perfectly used for music arrangement and an ensemble. There isn’t that much difference with the hammer action of these pianos, which could mean that they use the same or similar system.

My Experience About Donner DEP-10

The Donner DEP-20 gives you two options; the included sustain pedal, which in all honesty is a lot better than you get from most manufacturers even at higher price points. Most pianos come with a very poor quality sustain switch, which tends to slide all over the floor as you're playing and doesn't give you any real control over the sustain - it's either on or off. I always encourage my readers to get rid of this and buy a proper sustain pedal. Piano students can play a variety of songs on DEP 10 because of the tutorial and training videos available. It is a great piano for beginners and experts alike.
