The LFS household datasets are produced twice a year (one for the April to June quarter, and one for the October to December quarter). The Families and households publication uses the April to June quarter each year. The Families and households estimates in this publication cover the period from 1996 to 2022. The General Lifestyle Survey is an alternative source of household statistics, which provides data from the period 1971 to 2011.
