As is standard with Blood Bowl teams, you get two identical sprues. Each sculpt has two head options for variety, and the thrower has ball-toting and empty right hand options. Lined up, the team has plenty of variation and doesn’t feel too samey. Contrast blues are some of the most saturated paints in the range, and Pylar Glacier exists to slot in between Aethermatic Blue and Talassar Blue . I've just about got the unit to table top ready, however they need both basing and weathering, so that's a job for this week. Not every miniature needs to be blindingly bright on the tabletop. So there you have it, pro-tips from one of our pro-painters! That’s just 10 of the 25 new Contrast paints – we’ve already had ideas for coruscating bolts of energy with Mantis Warrior Green and some filthy underhive terrain with Garaghak’s Sewer. The possibilities are truly endless! I’m an adequate painter at best, but I’m pleased with the results. The cloaks and tunics are Altdorf Guard Blue , shaded with Drakenhof Nightshade , while the padding is all Kantor Blue . The Atomantic explosion is then on a 'by model' basis, so suicide melee distraction dreads are probably a decent option.

These were then shaded with Reikland Fleshshade. You want to make sure you’re using the new formula from GW to get the same effect and result as mine. An infrequent spawning, it is rare for more than a handful of Kroxigor to enter the world at the same time. They emerge from the same spawning pools as the Skinks, which may go some way to explain why the two species share another common affinity; like Skinks, Kroxigors are very at home in the water - able to move at speed through waterways or swamps. Between tasks, they prefer to submerge themselves in waterholes, leaving only the tops of their heads visible. Myself and the DA player were the more experienced so maybe shouldn't have been on the same side, but we just teamed up based on where we were standing. Let’s take a look at the Kroxigor’s stats to remind ourselves why they’re such an asset to Lizardmen coaches, beyond their obvious physical strength. I was also at Warhammer World last weekend, and managed to have a go wit hthe new contrasts. My base hope was that Kroxigor scales was roughly the equivalent of thinned Akhelian green, and I wasnt disappointed - if you look at the test model below, the right leg is pure kroxigor, while the left is 50/50 akhelian to medium - both applied in medium coats to allow both tinting and shading - you can see however that the akhelian is a little blotchy still. These are both over leadbelcher, so a little darker, but they'll look great over ironbreaker. I think I'll be converting to kroxigor to save time messing round with mixing paint. Worse still, at times the smaller race fights alongside Troll-sized reptile-men, hulking beasts that can tear a man in two. With their two-handed mauls I am sure such beasts could stove in the side of a ship within a few blows."
