Use high quality batteries. While we normally buy the cheap Kirkland brand (Costco) AA batteries, this does considerably better if you use a high performance battery. Energizer or Duracell work the best. In fact Nerf recommends Duracell batteries. If your kids are older then you may want to invest into the higher quality AA's designed for high demand products such as cameras. They are definitely more expensive but they shoot darts farther and harder.

Due to the inner barrel width of the LongStrike CS-6's barrel extension, it will be worn down on the inside when attached to the Stryfe (if it can be attached at all).
