The original rumors said that Override was a retool of Hot Rod, and there was precedent in the 3P scene where I think MMC used a shared design for those two. If it's an IDW Hot Rod, as with Legacy IDW Blurr, that would arguably be a better base. G1 Transformers had painted metal parts that would easily scratch from transformation and decals that would start peeling on their own after a while.

Is he completely accurate to 2001 Scourge? Nope. Is it the definitive figure for the character? I dunno, depends on what you’re looking for. What I will say is this, he’s got a captivating gaze. His weapons are molded in the same clear as the windscreen, so it was a nice opportunity to punch of the magenta with an era accurate complimentary color to the teal.
