About this deal

Combining expert analysis, brilliant humour and powerful insights into our inner lives, Dean uncovers how, far from holding us back, our emotions make us who we are. While I appreciate the author was expressing his pain through his own loss it really was a vanilla read.

It is a combination of scientific investigation, a journal of grief, and self-discovery that enables Burnett to confront his emotional naivety.

Home to William Golding, Sylvia Plath, Kazuo Ishiguro, Sally Rooney, Tsitsi Dangarembga, Max Porter, Ingrid Persaud, Anna Burns and Rachel Cusk, among many others, Faber is proud to publish some of the greatest novelists from the early twentieth century to today.
