I didn't like the fact that when she learned James secret, she preferred to act like stupid that sit down and talk to him!!! Brownies were second only to condoms on my list of favorite things that come in foil. A lot that went down in Part 3 of Temptation, so let's get going... WOW!! Just.... I,... WOW! Ivy Smoak has clearly outdone herself with this one! What a way to round out an amazing series with characters I have grown to know and love. She really knows how to write in her characters' minds and make you see and feel all the nitty gritty emotions and turmoil. This is one of those books/series where the hero and heroine truly are strongest when together. They complete and balance each other on a very vital level. There are times where they take turns being strong for each other. Some readers may not like a heroine that is not strong and fierce all the time. But I think there is strength in admitting how you feel, even if it is self-deprecating, and fighting for those you love regardless. I think strength comes about in different shapes and forms. These tow people, Penny and James, are vital to each other. Oh, how I'm going to miss them! Thirdly, I would like to think, no - no, I would hope above all that this story was exaggerated ‘slightly’ for the readers benefit! Especially since upon finishing several of these books, the author has told s that this love story is her and her husband’s love story. I hope you never had to go through any of what your character’s tragically did!!I loved this story! I'm a big fan of teacher-student affair novels and on the whole I did enjoy it. I found myself hopelessly in love with Professor Hunter from the moment he enters the story. Okay, she was right in an aspect but still she was acting a little bit irrational... And she forgot that she was keeping also something from him... Her attitude was making me crazy... I wanted to slap her so badly... He has to resist her. He needs to walk away. Penny deserves better than a man with his demons. But she’s daring him to cross the line. And he’s never been one to resist temptation. I believe anything is possible if you’re tenacious and not willing to let go of your dreams. I still pinch myself knowing how far I’ve come after all the nos I received early on. I found a love for reading in elementary school. I was in the lowest reading class and I was determined to work my way up to the highest. So one summer, I read and read and read some more. And I never stopped. I fell in love with stories. But even though I did work my way up into the highest reading class, I never would have dreamed to be on the other side of the stories I loved so much.

Forbidden romance full of angst, secrets, and false assumptions. Some of the characters are immature and I wanted to take and shake them. I wasn't a big fan of her roommate and at times, Penny's immaturity was annoying. At times, I wondered what a twenty-seven-year-old professor who once had his own company would see in her. Having read some of the later books, I can say that she does mature and shows growth in later books. Plus, he is her professor.... I kept thinking of all the legal, ethical and moral issues that would come into play of a professor becoming involved intimately/romantically with a student. I would imagine that all universities would frown down upon that and have strict rules/code of conduct guidelines. But then again, wasn't that the point? That their relationship is naughty and forbidden? That they are throwing caution to the wind and going for it, it is a forbidden romance after-all. I did enjoy learning how the Penny and James I met in latter books, met in this book. This is definitely not your mother's harlequin romance! There are some hot scenes so if you don't like sex scenes in your romance books this wont be for you. If you are willing to overlook the issues surrounding the forbidden romance, you might just enjoy these characters and their story. The Hunted series is written in an interesting format - It is planned out as a trilogy, and each of the three books are split into three parts. Ivy you’ve done it again!! This was so good that I couldn’t put it down!! I’ll definitely be reading the next three books for James and Penny’s story! It's a new semester, and sophomore Penny Taylor, 19, meets a handsome young man when he collides with her in a coffee shop, spilling a cold beverage on her shirt. Smoak ( A Whirlwind of Color, 2018, etc.) provides evocative, well-written (avoiding twee or overly crude phrasing) sex scenes for those who appreciate male dominance and the thrill of almost getting caught. For some, these pluses will be sufficient, but the book is filled with romance-novel clichés: accidental first meeting; obstacles that a moment's communication could clear up; the hero's enormous wealth; his reason for liking Penny (she's not afraid to speak her mind). The main characters have puzzling flaws: Hunter is a terrible professor, running his class like a group therapy session and announcing proudly that he's an easy grader who wants students to think of him as a "peer." Penny, meanwhile, easily accepts Tyler's apologies for her near rape and comes to consider him a best friend. Ah it's finally here! And I can't wait to see what you think of the next installment of Empire High! Ok first of all, I was not expecting for this book to be SO steamy! It was more than steamy - It was intensely spicy! So be warned going into this forbidden romance, that you will get a side of good SPICE!

Penny and James nearly splitting up because of •Isabella trying sabotaging them - I cried like a baby Part 1: Penny and James accidentally met each other and instantly they got under each others skin... And for God's sake!!! Why in the hell this girl was calling her lover Professor Hunter even in their most intimate moments??? I will never get oner this shit!!! Fantastic side characters added depth to the story. I noticed Rob and Mason’s story out but I’d like to see one about Tyler. He really liked Penny and he was determined to have her even though that he was putting his carreer at stake.I liked that she was such a good friend for Penny and she was taking care after her, but i didn't liked that she was so insisted in other matters... I think that her insistence was complicating the things for Penny even more... In the final installment, we see different sides to Penny and James which adds a lot of growth to their relationship. Penny became stronger for James’ vulnerability to his addiction. Their relationship survives a lot of ups and downs but by the end they are stronger than ever. Vivid sex scenes with attention to the heroine’s pleasure, but characterization remains problematic. I want to be able to move on. I need to be able to move on. But what if Professor Hunter has no intention of letting me do that? I’m entirely self-published, and I love the control that gives me over my stories. But I still believe that a dream partnership with a publisher is out there. One who understands my vision and loves my characters as much as I do. We’ll find each other soon, I just know it.
