About this deal

Also, I hope she confirms if Christian is going to be Daisy‘s endgame otherwise I‘ll just give up on the series now. Doesn’t matter what type it is, if it’s worth keeping, sometimes you have to say shit you don’t want to, pry it out of your own mouth and toss it over a fence your mate’s building now because that’s what people do when you hurt them—build fences, raise walls, dig ditches, pitfalls, etc.

Raised by her older brother Julian since their parents were murdered in front of them 12 years ago, Daisy hasn’t ever lived beyond the watchful gaze of her gang lord brother. I would just guess yes, but the way she hates anyone other than Magnolia and BJ makes me wonder if she won’t just ruin them too so she has characters to hurt and emotions to manipulate readers. If you’re the one making the first move towards reconciliation, you sort of have to just stand there and see if their head pops up over the other side of the fence, see if they’ll toss the ball back. everything always has to revolve around Magnolia and the Kylie Jenner of London (yes BJ, i'm talking about you). And things don’t become any easier when she falls hard for the beautiful and emotionally unavailable Christian Hemmes, who also happens to be one of the few men in London who doesn’t answer to Julian. If this is just a world made of people to fawn over and love a character that the author sees as herself, then just tell me so I can move on from this series and accept it for what it is. I know that some love is beautiful, and some is freeing, some unravels you, some love poisons you, some blinds you, some betters you, and some loves break you in invisible ways that no one else knows about until you have to stand up and the weight of your love crushes your bones. She mentioned once that Magnolia is based off of a younger version of herself and once I read that it all made more sense and I can’t get out of my head how narcissistic and vain this writing is. The mafia bits felt thrown in and strung together to provide a reason for the hit, but it could have been executed better. I wanna start off by saying that I love every single fucked up character in this series (yes, Magnolia too) and that this may be long and painful to read because I‘m still frustrated.

Reading in DH3 how Julian finds out about Bridget and Magnolia marrying BJ (as she should) is going to hurt. All 20-year-old Daisy Haites has ever wanted is a normal life, but as the heiress to London’s most notorious criminal empire, it’s just not on the cards for her. He laughs from the back of his throat and I love it when he laughs at the things I say, I want to make him laugh forever but I can’t because he broke forever and still I fight the urge to kiss him anyway. That scene where she interrupted the gang meeting was the most second hand embarrassment I've gotten from a character in a LONG time. If it had, perhaps I wouldn’t feel as disappointed by this book because my expectations would have been accurately set from the beginning. Even the cover points towards Julian, another disappointment, as the story-telling tattoos feel repetitive after learning how important BJ’s tattoos about Magnolia are in MP1 and MP2. I also don't get how Julian fell sooo in love with Magnolia, like this 31 years old guy didn't love a girl in all his life but fell for a girl he kind of date for 3 months who keep telling him that she is in love with BJ (as she should) and that she thinks of BJ while she is having sex with him (as she should).

srsly I could not comprehend why Julian is behaving like he’s a main character when 𝘏𝘌 𝘐𝘚 𝘕𝘖𝘛 𝗜𝗱𝗰 𝗶𝗳 𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝘃, 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗰 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘃 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗭𝗔, 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝟴 🤡🤡) He’s supposed to stfu and STAY IN HIS LANE. It doesn’t dishonour others, it’s not self-seeking, it’s not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. i want him and Daisy to run away from Julian and the full box set (nobody in that friend group has ever defended him. And he’s all surprised that I know his face, but what he doesn’t know is that how he looks in the morning time is burned into my memory and one day, when all this is over and we’re not hooking up anymore and he’s with someone else and I’ve figured out how to move on and past him and we’re not together anymore55 because I don’t think he has room in his heart to see me like that when all he can see is her, even if sometimes now it feels like maybe56 he could—even then, I will see his face when I close my eyes.

let's hope MP3 gives me some decent crumbs before we can finally move on to the real stars of the series: DH3 and DH4. at this point i’m pretty sure jessa isn’t capable of writing a story that doesn’t revolve around magnolia. It's seems pointless to waist that much of the book in the "love story" of Julian and Magnolia when we all know that she is never going to love him and that it's going nowhere.

I want to start by saying I have been reading this series since early 2022, and I have recommended it to many people.Daisy and Christian were side characters in a book that bears her name so that we could waste pages and pages on a Magnolia relationship that you know will end, in fact we already read it in the last book and you know it means nothing to her. it’s no secret i hate magnolia(many of you have probably seen my roast of mp2), and guess what: i still hate her. AND TO THINK THAT IVE ALREADY READ EVERYTHING THAT WENT DOWN BETWEEN MAGNOLIA AND JULIAN IN LONG WAY HOME? he's the loser of the group, the spare Ballentine brother that we don't really need and she can't make a choice and stand by it for the life of her.
