The battery is still charging and holding charge perfectly. The fill port covers and USB ports are still holding up fine – usually these can be the first things that fail with long term use. As before you have 2 power levels – the left hand LED indicator lights up Purple (Boost power level) or Blue for Normal power level. You can change between the two settings. The instructions in the main were pretty good, but yet again information on protections and fault conditions has not been included. Which is a shame as simple faults and the LED displays should be explained so the user can rectify. I have to admit I also had 2 prototype versions a few months ago in the blue – and to be honest I don’t think much has changed from them to the new versions I have now. Innokin Sceptre Mod I’ve arrived at the end of this review liking the Sceptre Tube kit a whole lot more than I had expected.I have quite a few tube kits but this one really found its place for RDL and uses the superb S-Coils.The proof of the pudding and all that; I will be using this one well beyond the review period. The Sceptre is compatible with the 0.5ohm RDL S coil, the 0.65ohm MTL S coils, and the 1.2ohm MTL S coil.Vape While Charging is a feature commonly seen in our vaporizers that allows you to vape while you are charging your device. Be advised that while this feature can be convenient, it’s not recommended to vape while charging a device that is extremely low on battery life. Do not use Vape While Charging if the LED indicator is still flashing as using this feature while the battery is low will damage the overall lifespan of the battery. The battery lasts me all day and more. I vape a lot and it's still green in the evening. Once the blue light comes on the battery goes rather fast but not a problem here. I don't use the booster mode by the way. The original Sceptre was my first foray into a pod system, after 12 years, from using the original ecigs, through the first mods and pens, to the latest. I've always been fond of Innokin devices, from their first onwards, but I was never impressed by their coils, which always tasted metallic and didn't last long, so I tended to use their batteries with Smok tanks.

However, mine had a slight buzzing when I vaped it, this may be to it being a review version so hopefully that has been sorted. It wasn’t enough to annoy me, and after a while I didn’t notice it, but it’s worth being aware. The 0.5oHm coil felt a little underpowered and I would like to have had the boost add more than 2W. My main gripe though is the adapter needed for the coils, I know it’s for them to be compatible with other devices, and making coils cross compatible is to be commended, but it just seems messy.Charging took a few minutes either side of 2 hours every time with a 2A charging plug. Obviously the charger output is reduced to match the capability of the mod. How To Fill the Pod The Sceptre features standard 1A charging, so it does not support the Fast Charging feature. Fast Charging is a feature seen in our premium devices which allow you to use a 2A wall charger and high quality USB-C or microUSB cable to charge your device. 2A charges devices faster than a standard 1Amp or .5Amp charger. Make sure that your Innokin device is Fast Charging compatible before you charge your device with a fast charger. Never leave your device unattended while charging. I am using this on the Boost setting (Purple LED) and the flavour is incredible. It is the only pod kit coil to come close to my beloved Oxva Xlim SE 0.8ohm pods for flavour! If you’ve looked at Innokin’s full range of pod-based vaping devices, you’ve probably noticed that the Sceptre bears a certain visual similarity to the Innokin Endura M18. The two devices are also similar in price. So, how do the Innokin Sceptre vs. Endura M18 compare? I found the pod stayed in the mod securely even when shaken about, plus it didn’t even come out all the times the kit got dropped!

In fact the colour accent on the honeycomb makes it look like some of the paint has chipped off the mod. The key to great vaping is in the coils! Choose low wattage 1.2ohm MTL or higher wattage 0.5ohm RDL coils, then adjust the airflow on the side of the pod to match your vaping style. The Sceptre detects the coil and adjusts the wattage automatically. Press the button, or puff to activate the Sceptre, and vape your way!

If the atomizer is becoming too hot, allow the device a couple of minutes to cool down before resuming use. If the tank is very hot, the vaporizer can potentially malfunction. Please disconnect the pod immediately in this event and store the vaporizer safely until it has cooled down. The horizontal mouthpiece is lovely to vape on but does make the mod sit in a weird position when vaping. The flavour is strong and clear and with the boost power level I am getting a great throat hit too.

The 0.5 Ohm Sceptre coils feature a mesh coil build, the mesh increases both flavour and vapour production, making them ideal for restricted direct to lung vaping. The 1.2 Ohm Sceptre coils produce a more discreet level of vapour, allowing for an inhale that's similar to how you would smoke a cigarette. With the 1.2ohm coil on the higher (boost) power level I got 15 hours in total! I can hardly believe it myself! The branding is quite minimal – with the Innokin logo on the rear and the Sceptre logo on the front diagonal “slash”.

Only use Lithium Ion rechargeable batteries in devices that have a built in protection circuit board(PCB) that detect shorts, over-discharge, over-charging etc. Use of lithium ion batteries without a PCB may increase your risk or explosion and,or fire.
