About this deal

The majority of Nier takes place approximately 1,300 years in the future, on an Earth that has wholly forgotten its science and civilization. You play as an unnamed father that's doing everything in his power to cure his young daughter, Yonah, of her fatal disease. I don't want to spoil anything else for you, as the oddness and melancholy of the story is another part of the charm, but I'll just say that I developed an attachment to the game's characters, especially as their pasts are later explored. Here's my 8 year late review of Nier for PS3 over @ http://www.thelategamer.com/video-game-review/ps3/late-nier-review/ Sato (April 5, 2013). "Drakengard 3 Producer And Creative Director Explain How The Game Came To Be". Siliconera . Retrieved September 10, 2013. Ending E is a continuation of ending D, which can be activated after starting a new game and playing up until the second fight with Hook when Nier tries to wake up Kainé. In "Ending E" (told in both Grimoire Nier and NieR Replicant ver.1.22), three years after the Shadowlord disappeared, a program to reset the entire Replicant system begins its execution in the Forest of Myth, and Kainé goes to destroy it, alongside Emil, now with a reconstructed body including four arms. Eventually they go deeper into the tree where Sleeping Beauty resides, eventually finding themselves in a place reminiscent of The Tower, and Kainé has to defeat a recreated version of Hook with the help of Grimoire Weiss. Kainé recovers the person she cherishes, which allows the save file the player got ending D on to be restored. Afterwards, a giant flower reminiscent of a Lunar Tear blooms in the Forest of Myth, as the forgotten Nier is reunited with Kainé and Emil, the approximate age as when they first met (16 for Brother Nier, 39 for Father Nier), reconstructed with the “memories” that the tree had of his first visit to the Forest of Myth. Continue north through the halls and move on to the next area. You'll come to a ballroom. Fight off all of the shades and then view the scene with Kaine. After the scene, fight your way through the shades to Kaine and examine her. Another scene will trigger where the remaining shades are absorbed into each other, becoming a single, massive entity. (!) Can't catch a break, can you? Same as before, keep killing the boar. Kill it over and over again till the cavalry arrives. After the scene, keep killing the boar. The cavalry really isn't much help, but hey, it's the thought that counts, right? Eventually the north door will open: run through to trigger another scene.Speak to Popola in the library and she'll ask you to visit the Aerie again, because someone there claims to have the knowledge that you seek. When you're ready, make for the Aerie. The Aerie Read through the story. It's all very interesting, no? At the end, you will be provided with a single riddle. It's a good bit more challenging than the others ones, but it's a classic, so you've probably heard it before. Just in case, the answer is, "the real one is Beta." You will then exit the man's dream. For the seventh trial, you are forbidden to evade. Run across the open area and open the door at the end for a new trial. Finally, a man's puzzle! You shouldn't have been evading before, either--only cowards evade. Simply kill all of the shades, and then take care of the sub-boss that appears when they've been dealt with. Once everything's dead, congratulations! You've passed the seventh and final trial. The Barren Temple Some of the most god awful NPC dialogue I have ever heard. The stuff people shout out when you are walking down the street varies from laughably bad to unbearable Graft, Kris (April 30, 2010). "Cavia and Square Enix's Nier Replicant Leads Japan Charts". Speak with him and enter his dream. I recommend not pursuing the Forest of Myth while tired. This part of the game is something of a text-adventure, and if you're exhausted or impatient you won't be able to fully appreciate it. The Mayor's Dream
