I have been looking for a feature length film of "Barney" for a while now. I had already bought "Barney's Great Adventure" and that was a great film. My daughter loved this so much, I had to buy the Land of Make Believe as well. Since purchasing, she has watched it constantly and never seems to get tired of it. It is a new story, never seen on TV before. Although I did hear a lot of the usual songs from Barney, which was good for my daughter, as she already knows the words and could sing along. With the exception of the dinos, The Land of Make-Believe features an entirely local cast. For monetary reasons, the crew decided to hire local talent as opposed to having the regular cast of children from Barney & Friends, although talks about bringing some did occur. This was to prevent paying for hotel and plane fees. [2] Hundreds of children auditioned to be in The Land of Make Believe. In February 2004, St. Petersburg, Florida native Dylan Crowley was one of the children to be announced in the video, as he was set to portray a New York street kid.
