About this deal

This adds longevity to this clipper/trimmer as you can replace the blade when no longer sharp or it has been damaged. Note that blades molded with ceramic, titanium, or chrome are stronger, stay sharper longer, and do not heat up. I like to use a can of compressed air to blow the hair out from the crannies where the brush can’t reach. The first one lasted about 12 or 13 years and I\'m still on my second so the durability and it\'s longevity is insane. The Wahl Peanut is a compact, rotary motor powered tool that is versatile and can be used as both a clipper and a trimmer.

The simplest but most important thing you can do is just wipe off the hair from the blade with an old toothbrush. Yes, they are major downsides, but they aren’t too big to warrant this impressive trimmer’s dismissal. I’m not saying you’ll experience this 100%, but – maybe due to its size, this Wahl trimmer does “chew” on strands. They make solid performing clippers/trimmers, you just have to weigh the positives and negatives to determine if it is right for you.

I want these features in every trimmer/clipper from now on and I miss it when a device doesn’t have this feature. As you might guess, thanks to its compact body, the Peanut is a wonderful candidate for the best hair trimmer for kids. Thereby you are losing 3/8″ of an inch and this translates to a longer haircut as you are not able to cut the same amount of hair with a smaller blade.

Due to its light body and small size, the hair trimmer is highly maneuverable and will cater to all your crazy or not-so-crazy hair lining ideas. I love options when cutting hair on my head and my face, the more the better and I feel very limited on options with the Wahl Peanut. Not only do you get a strong motor, but you receive it packaged in a professional trimmer, way more ergonomic and mobile than usual models. In fact, it’s one of the best hair trimmers on the market due to its lightweight, miniature, and ergonomic nature. Please note that despite it having a decently powerful motor, this clipper is not recommended for heavy-duty work.As the smaller blade is easier to maneuver and you can trim more precisely as opposed to a wider blade. It cuts very close, especially compared with a lot of similar budget models (looking at Andis T-Outliner here. Rotary motors score high in both blade speed and power, last longer, and are generally considered top notch. If grip it with just your fingers, then you have the blade positioned exactly how you like it with the ability to angle it to cut also.

When you do the blade wash, this is a good time to open it up and clear any hair out of the chamber behind the blade. When it comes to hair trimming, the Peanut guarantees crisp, sharp, and easy trims and hairline designs to ensure you get the perfect finish. But in my honest opinion, it should only be used for trimming or as a hair clipper for kids and toddlers: because the Peanut doesn’t really live up to the standards of a professional hair clipper for barbers. What makes this better is the fact that the Peanut weighs a mere 4 oz and is ridiculously compact with its 4″ body.

This smaller size is a real disadvantage when cutting hair when compared to wider clippers as it will take longer with a smaller blade. If you just want a solid small trimmer with limited options maybe this is right for you but for me, I want more. Just settle on a spot where you want the edge of the beard and then point the blade perpendicular to the skin. The Peanut isn’t the best trimmer in terms of motor power and blades, but it’s an ace performer when it comes to usability and handling.
