The Juice Bass Speaker performs quite well considering the cost. It has a nice balanced sound without any significant distortions when listening to music. It offered a nice level of bass without feeling overbearing due to the use of the subwoofer. On the base of the speaker, it has 4 little raised triangles that act as feet and keep the speaker in place. This speaker also comes with an IPX7 rating making it ideal for the outside as it can be submerged up to 1 meter in water for 30 minutes which is ideal if your a little clumsy like me and dropped the speaker in a swimming pool on a recent trip out and after giving it a wipe down the speaker worked perfectly.

When you pair the second Juice Bass it adds to the overall sound and offers that immersive sound. I found it was nice to have in the garden as it offered that stereo sound you want when you have guests over.

So overall, would I buy this speaker? I would say yes it’s not very expensive and if you’re looking for a speaker that has a rugged feel that can be used vertically or horizontally and has a decent sound profile for the cost of the speaker. This speaker won’t replace your home audio system but it’s great when you’re down the park or chilling on the beach. Accessories wise you get the USB-C charge cable and a fabric carry case when you’re not using the speaker. It’s a nice addition as am all about keeping my tech safe when not in use. However, if you play this speaker at up to 60% volume you will enjoy it If you take speaker down the beach or by that inflatable pool we have all bought for the garden in the recent heatwave. It comes IPX5 rated which means it will be able to handle a sustained low-pressure water jet or in normal life, if you happen to bump in the pool and splash the speaker it will be fine. Just don’t drop the speaker in the pool otherwise it’s dead. The Speaker also has a 10m Bluetooth range which means you can connect it to your phone but won’t need to be close to the speaker for it to work. This speaker also allows you to answer a call via the play button and the call quality when tested was decent call quality, so I can’t complain. When you turn the speaker on you will also see an LED that is embedded in the rubber cover. This is a Blue light when you turn the speaker on and it flashes when you go into pairing mode.

The overall design of this speaker is well built and nothing gives you the impression it’s a budget speaker apart from the amount of plastic used in the build. Inside that cover, you have the USB-C port for charging, AUX cable if you want that wired connection when Bluetooth is not an option. You also have an SD card slot which I found quite hardy as you can store a load of music on an SD card and that way you won’t need to use your phone for its music streaming service if you did not want to. However, when you pump up the speaker to the max volume the highs just feel a little distorted and the overall sound feels a little tinny.

The fact it comes with an IPX7 rating means you can take this speaker to the beach, away on holiday (When we are allowed to do so) and is a good size meaning it’s nice and portable. I also liked the addition of being able to use my smart assistant when listening to my music. Sound quality for the JuiceBoom Pro offers a beefy bass but the mid-range is slightly off. If the volume at max the sound can be a little muddled and can become a little distorted. Battery wise you get a 2200 mAh which offers 14 hours of battery life and Juice is true to their word when testing the speaker I gave it a full charge which took about 2.5 hours and then timed my usage with this speaker and got the 14 hours of battery life they said. When you start eating into the battery life you will be able to see the amount of battery life left indicated by the number of LEDs on. The Juice Party Pro XL can be used at home or outdoors. On each end of this speaker you have rubber end caps that are shaped to allow you to stand this speaker up. The 2x 5-watt speakers and cylindrical design allow for a 360 degree sound experience as you can use this speaker either vertical as the speaker is placed on one of the rubberised ends or you can have it horizontal but it does not affect the sound as you have a raised rubber base.
