About this deal

All our Yr 3 and 4s performed 'The Button Box' - a total treat for everybody. The children were still singing the songs well after the production was finished! Such Variety We had 120 Year 2s and 3s performing this 3 times this week, and it got a great reaction due to all of the different cultures represented and how original it was. We put a suitable, fun dance to all of the songs. Parents and staff loved it and it was such fun to produce and perform. We had 7 and 8 year olds doing solos and it was wonderful. Costumes were excellent and with lights, musicians and props it looked brilliant. Truly Marvelous

Norma and Arthur argue over Steward's offer, complicated by the news that their son Walter's private school, where Norma teaches, will no longer provide a discount for his tuition. They open the box to discover it is 'just a bunch of wood', and Arthur chastises Norma for her fear, but no decision is made before they go to sleep. Gwendy’s Final Task takes place in a post-Covid 2026 (there are a few references to it, but not too much). Gwendy is now a 64-year-old US Senator who is having memory issues due to early onset Alzheimer’s. That would be troubling under any circumstance, but Gwendy is about to travel to an international space station, so it’s even worse. The novel tells the tale of how she came to be in that position, what she plans to do when she gets into space, and what it all has to do with Richard Farris and the button box—because you know it has something to do with Richard Farris and the button box. The children enjoyed the performance. The Button Box songs are easy to sing and are very good for developing awareness of other cultures.’

Make the most of the south-facing garden here at The Button Box, comprising of a lawn and a patio area, it is a real sun trap in the summer. Open Over 50 Hi-Res Stills from Richard Kelly's The Box". The access to the cottage is along a lane that the neterance to is right on the corner of the street and is a tight turn into the laneso can be a bit daunting. There is nowhere to put clothes so living out the suitcase but that's OK. The only downside is the shower is tiny and difficult to get into if you are a bit large.

The owners left us everything we needed to start us off milk, bread, butter, jam, tea, coffee and sugar which I thought was very thoughtfull,we enjoyed our week and the only reason we would not return was the area was too hilly for me as i am partially disabled.the ramp up to the property was very useful. I must admit I am glad I did. It was much better than the second book and a fitting end to the story. When authors are able to work well together, the fruits of their labour are usually beneficial for the reader. Such is the case here, with Stephen King and Richard Chizmar. Both have established themselves before and bring this renewed connection to craft a strong story for all to enjoy. A great narrative pushes things forward, never sure where things will go, and the characters are usually quite unique. King and Chizmar keep the reader guessing with twists in the narrative, such that there is little time to rest and ponder, as something is always happening. Short chapters serve as teasers, while longer ones develop the storyline effectively. While there was a great deal of jumping around to provide context for Gwendy Peterson’s life, it is done properly and proves easy for the reader to follow throughout. It is sad to see the series end, but I wonder if this is the last we have seen of the King-Chizmar team!
