About this deal

I love the emergence of the New Adult genre and more college-aged romances. The promise of a hate-to-love relationship called to me, and the fact that the narrative was set in the context of a consulted revenge plot and the “and they were roommates” trope seemed to make this book the perfect read. At first, Kayden wants nothing to do with Sienna’s schemes, but when he figures out that she might be able to give him an advantage, he caves, letting her first into his home, then into his bed, and finally into his heart. But as much as she cares about Kayden, she can’t let her anger go, and it threatens the shaky foundation they’ve built together from their damaged lives. Driven with rage and anger she looks for revenge and trains her ex boyfriend’s enemy, Kayden to fight her ex and win the championship while moving in together. To make things worse, God has decided to bestow upon Sienna the presence of Kayden Williams. He's moody, resentful, and has a lot of issues, but he is indeed a great fighter — perhaps one of the best if it weren't for the fact that he has been defeated in the ring by none other than Sienna's ex. From a writing and technical aspect of the novel, there were a few things that seemed off. The e-book version that I had, had many places where the formatting was all over the place and inconsistent. Additionally, there were a few grammatical mistakes and run-on sentences here and there. There also seemed to have an identity crisis on whether it was a British book or an American one. The book is set in the US, specifically in Boston, yet the book is littered with very British sentences and words. This makes sense when you consider that Claudia studied in the UK, however it was very discombobulating to read everything and imagine everything being set in Boston, only to have characters say very proper/English things and refer to the school year as terms.

I do get a minor say on some things, but I trust Wattpad studios' producers attached to this movie to adapt this book as faithfully as I would like them to! Step one: convince Jax’s rival, Kayden Williams, to train with her. Step two: beat Jax at his own game.

I mean mind you, this was suggested many times, but it wasn't flat-out said or described in great detail. Overall, it was a good book, if I put aside some plot holes and language issues, it would have been even better. This wasn't the worst thing ever, it's honestly a pretty decent Wattpad book. My biggest issue with a lot of books on Wattpad is the cringeyness of the dialogue and the writing style being pretty bad, but this wasn't all that cringey and the writing was okay, but not horrible. Like the author didn't spend half the chapter describing the heroine's outfit for the day and that she's "not like other girls" because she doesn't wear makeup.

First of all, I am so so happy to be able to read a book on my kindle that I had first read on Wattpad years ago. I am so proud of Claudia. Some parts of this book do feel a bit cliche, like Brent and Evans. But I really thought they were cute together. I also appreciated Sienna having her own friends like Cara and Alex. The two of them decide to work together to take Jax down, and may end up falling in love in the process. I love the characters so much. Sienna, Kayden, Brent, Evans, etc. I also love how the Perfect Illusion characters have cameos here <3Sienna is an MMA trainer, and a good one at that. When she walks in on her boyfriend Jax cheating on her with her sister Beth, she doesn't know what to do. But a plan starts to form when fate throws her in the direction of one Kayden Williams, who happens to be Jax's rival in the cage. Overall, super-steamy and intense in many aspects, but also loaded with bits of anger the reader slushes through. THIS IS CRAZY! THIS WAS A STORY. IN MY HEAD. IN MY FIGMENT OF IMAGINATION FOR THE LONGEST TIME. THEN SHARED ON WATTPAD. AND NOW IT'S A MOVIE. WHAT THE ACTUAL F-

This book was written by someone who might have wanted to talk about important issues but not truly understand or be able to nuances of the issues. For example, when Sienna and Kayden talk to each other, there is a lot of mention of Alzheimer’s, bipolar, and the term “pussy” all being used as an insult, which I found troubling.Thank you Netgalley for providing me with this arc. I was really excited to read this book after I saw it on Wattpad and that it was getting published While I did enjoy many aspects of the published version of Perfect Addictions, many parts just didn't vibe with me. This book was one of my favourite wattpad books ever and being able to read it as a book and an arc on top of it i feel so freaking proud😭💗
