This Anna Sui perfume is marketed towards women, and I would personally say that it has a more traditionally feminine feel to it due to its sweet, delicate facets. That being said, we always believe that you should wear whatever type of fragrance makes you feel happiest and most confident – no matter who it’s aimed at. Anna Sui Sky Eau De Toilette first opens with a welcoming kiss of juicy pears. Pillows of fluffy white clouds made of lily of the valley float through the middle of the fragrance. As the scent warms up as if by rays of the sun, the soft floral petals suddenly pop and become crunchy toasted popcorn. A charming and addictive union, tailor-made for the princess of this kingdom of delights. Familiar with the dreamy Anna Sui Sky hot air balloon-inspired bottle? Cosmic Sky takes that and gives it a gorgeous blue, green and purple iridescent revamp. I’m not sure which bottle I love more between the pink original and this ethereal one- don’t make me choose!

As an Eau de Toilette, you’d expect Anna Sui Sky to last around two to three hours. Personally, the fresh-off-the-stove popcorn base lasted a good five or six hours for me, which I was pleasantly surprised by. Anna Sui Sky is an airy effervescence fragrance that transports you to a sparkling magical kingdom in the sky. Enjoy your adventure amongts the clouds. When I first saw Sky Eau de Toilette, I expected it to be sweet, fresh and airy to begin with – and it certainly is. But I didn’t expect for it to be so undeniably moreish as it mellows on your skin.

That said, if you prefer to shop fragrance by gender to help you know whether it’s for you, then it’s important to note that Cosmic Sky is presented as a fragrance for women, and it definitely has a more traditionally feminine tone due to its sweet, sparkly presence. Although I could write about the visuals all day long, you may be wondering about the logistics of spritzing this perfume; for the easiest application, hold the perfume upside down to spray it directly onto your pulse points using your first finger. I’ll admit that Anna Sui does seem like a more traditionally feminine, sweet fragrance to me. So, you’ll love this Eau de Toilette if you like pretty perfumes. Cosmic Sky smells similar to the original Sky in the sense that they’re both fun, airy fruity-floral fragrances with a strong gourmand tone. Both fragrances lead with an aquatic pear note, but Cosmic Sky feels more citrusy than the original. The heart of the original is more of an aquatic-fresh floral, whereas Cosmic Sky has a more powdery tone. In my view, the base is where the scents differ the most. The original has a really strong salty popcorn tone on my skin, but this one feels warmer, woodier and a little richer. The result? A scent that feels a little bit more sophisticated than the original Sky. For light intensity: spray in a cloud around your head and shoulders, let the fragrance fall gently around you.
