Ugh I’m in love with the way joelina writes. I’m obsessed with her books and I’m so happy I got an arc for book 3. The book has everything you want, new each other from early age, I’m obsessed with her, best friends brother. Like it was so cute but this girl can also write some spice. I love the spice scenes, they are detailed so really hot but their not a lot of scenes in the book which I love because now it felt just right and it didn’t feel unnecessary. It fit with the timeline

I thought so too. Thought maybe...just maybe, this might be a 5⭐ read if it just gets a little bit deeper, digs deeper into Lily and Colin. This book was a rollercoaster of emotions, and I ate up every damn second of it. It made me laugh and cry all at the same time. the fmc’s personality changed almost drastically in between. i thought her outlook would change steadily, slowly, so readers could follow along without getting confused, but it didn’t. Sofia Carlsen has been living the majority of her life running away from her past. Unfortunately that also meant running away from her childhood best friends. I guess, this was my very first childhood to strangers to lovers book and i can proudly admit I honestly enjoyed every single moment with it.

While the storyline is good and the anticipation of where it will go is certainly what keeps you hanging in & reading on, but the let-down is that this book is in serious need of editing. A bit sad that the friendship between Sofia and Lily was definitely less on the focus even though they are also childhood best friends but we also got a few scenes here and there so i cant really complain i guess? Lily’s world is like being underwater; everything makes perfect sense there. While Lily is finishing up her final preparations, she makes a small mistake. I am honestly happy and glad that Sofia did decide to move to NYC in the end though or hell, I would have been mad and disappointed otherwise.

worlds worst book award!! did literally ANYONE read over this before it was published?? the gross misuse of the oxford comma and the general juvenile sense you got from the writing, if you told me a 10 year old produced this i would believe you. overall, horrifically written.It was also nice to get a more in depth view of their future and even with their kids, that was truly adorable. What i must say though is that a few scenes where more or less kind of out of nowhere like the one with Julia suddenly confessing that she tried to protect Sofia all this time and i don‘t know, it was just kind of weird. Leon was also weird as hell just like Winter was. I’m Sofia. I spent my entire teenage years in Germany. Our legal drinking age ist eighteen. Beer and wine, however, that’s legal at the age of sixteen. But if you live in a small town or even better a village, chances are, you start drinking at the age of twelve. ~ Sofia Carlsen

Joelina Falk, the Author: other than all of that, almost all the characters were vanilla and boring and done before. i almost dnf’d, but I’ve dnf’d three books in my life, and i tried not to give up on this one. who the hell randomly leaves after doing it for the first time though i have to admit his story was really sad. almost sad enough for me to have wanted him to be suicidal rather than her. literally aaron is also such a weird character. like how are all of them static characters with such a flux-y plot ??? bffr joelina falk

Lily Reyes is struggling to overcome her melancholy. Despite her best efforts, she gives up and decides the world is too harsh for her to survive because of traumatic events she had as a child. So many times did I almost give up and hit the return option since there are many errors littered throughout. honestly if the author wants to take a go at suicidal people she needs to interview them well first. i doubt someone just suddenly decides to not die bc of some boy she met like 9 days ago. (and a shitty boy at that) Ich freue mich unheimlich, ein Rezensionsexemplar von Joelina Falks neuem Buch „Eight Weeks“ erhalten zu haben! Nachdem ich Band 1 bereits verschlungen habe, habe ich mich unglaublich auf die Geschichte von Lilys Zwillingsbruder Aaron gefreut! Anhand des Zitats lässt sich die Stimmung des Buches gut beschreiben. Während des Lesens musste ich sehr über Sofias Humor und die Kabbeleien von ihr und Aaron lachen. Joelina Falks Buch ist gleichzeitig humorvoll und unglaublich tiefgründig. Mir hat ihr Schreibstil sehr gefallen und ich fand es schön, dass in diesem Buch, Deutschland eine so große Rolle gespielt hat. Aaron und Sofia sind ein süßes Pärchen und besonders wird ihre Geschichte durch die lange Zeit, die sich die Beiden schon kennen.Also i find it a funny coincidence that the author is also from germany and knowing that english is not her first language, i think it‘s still really amazing how great the book turned out so props to her!
