Johnnie Walker Green Label (70cl) The unique blend of four matured malt whiskies: Speyside, Highland, Lowland and the Scottish Islands, with a depth of flavour not found in any one, single malt. Its complex aroma and elegant flavour profile make it an ideal choice for moments of enjoyment alone or in company. v=1700935404","width":2500},{"alt":"Johnnie Walker Black Label 12YO 70cl","id":2923331584051,"position":3,"preview_image":{"aspect_ratio":1. v=1650103866","options":["Size"],"media":[{"alt":null,"id":6698779770931,"position":1,"preview_image":{"aspect_ratio":1. Derived from blending whiskies matured in heavily charred oak casks and specially selected whiskies with a naturally smoky flavour, Johnnie Walker Double Black embodies the characteristics of Johnnie Walker Black Label, whilst delivering a new, full-bodied intensity that makes it an unrivalled whisky choice.Serving Suggestion: Best enjoyed with water to unlock its complex layers of smouldering spice and smoke. I'm a relative noob to Scotch, but so far in my short journey it looks like JWDB is going to be my "go to". I bought a bottle of this when it was first released and didn't feel it offered anything over the std JWBL. Johnnie Walker Double Black is an exceptional whisky created for special moments and discerning connoisseurs. Johnnie Walker Double Black is a full-bodied whisky, with a deep smoky character and multiple layers of spice, inspired by the iconic Johnnie Walker Black Label.

From the smoky and maritime notes of the Islay malts to the fruity and floral nuances of the Speyside malts, a complex interplay is created, rounded off by the gentle sweetness of the grain whiskies. Distinctively rich with a touch of smokiness, made from the most exceptional malt and grain whiskies of Scotland. Very early on, the brand established global sales as this unique whisky blend was in the hands of ships’ captains who transported the whisky to wherever their ships would sail. Double Black is created to have an extra depth of flavour through blending selected aged whiskies that are naturally smoky and rich in character, with those matured in deep charred old oak casks. I suggest you splash out and try the single malts like Caol Isla 12, Talisker 10 or (highly recommended) Ledaig 10.Laphroaig and the now expensive Lagavulin are my preference (smoke, peat, iodine, TCP, seaweed, tar, the Full Monty) and I never, ever drank blends. Derived from blending whiskies matured in heavily charred oak casks and specially selected whiskies from the West Coast of Scotland with a naturally smoky flavour, Johnnie Walker Double Black embodies the characteristics of Johnnie Walker Black Label, whilst delivering a new, full-bodied intensity that makes it an unrivalled whisky choice. I like this whisky, for its affordability and heavier peat/smoke, but will probably stick to JW BL in general, because I don't go with the extra sweetness.
