It resembles the Terratek in its size and weight, even surpassing it in the compactness category but still being a tiny bit heavier. This makes it great for larger jobs when you’re going to be spending a lot of hours holding your paint sprayer as the hand and arm fatigue will be less of a problem. Choosing between the vertical, horizontal and circular spray patterns helps adapt this high quality paint sprayer between different jobs, and it doesn’t take long to switch between settings if the task requires several different sprays. Multiple nozzles are included, with diameters of 1.0 mm, 1.8 mm, 2.6 mm and 3.0 mm. These alter the flow and help accommodate different paint viscosities. Another thing to bear in mind, when considering reservoir size, is the flow speed of the sprayer. For example, the NoCry Electric Fence Sprayer can be adjusted to have a painting flow of up to 1200 ml / min. Seeing as its capacity is 1000 ml, you would need to refill quite often if using it on the maximum flow setting. That said, you’re more likely to use these fence sprayers on lower settings. Not only can you alter the spray pattern through 3 different settings, but also adjust the width of the overall spray. This gives you a lot of options once you start combining settings so you can cover large areas first, then just with the turn of a couple of switches you can have a spray that is perfect for finishing off the edges and hard to reach areas.It’s also not prone to overheating, making it a good option for those longer jobs that require prolonged use. Thus, the workplace becomes safer for the individual working on the project. However, breathing equipment should still be used. In terms of reservoir capacity, this machine actually has one of the largest featured here at 1400 ml. Yet, compared to other units with a similar tank size, it’s not as heavy to use for extended periods due to the separate sprayer/motor design. The motor can be positioned on the floor whilst the sprayer is used (as long as the job isn’t too high) or held in the other hand. Then again, a much larger paint container will mean that the overall size of the paint sprayer will increase, so it all depends on what is more important to you personally- compactness or volume. It’s easy to see that some fence sprayers will need refilling more often than others. That said, refilling isn’t too time consuming and it will still be much faster than using a paintbrush. So, it’s up to you how much importance you put on this factor. I would definitely layer the paint up slowly to avoid runs – if you want a fuller look like this then definitely take the door off to manage that – remember you are thinning the paint down – so turn up the workshop heater to full blast to cook the paint off too.. An HVLP sprayer should be your machine of choice if you want an excellent finish. It’s easy to get a uniform coating, so long as you’ve correctly set up and adjusted the equipment you will use.
As well as being suitable for both solvent- and water-based fence paint, this sprayer can also be used to spray alcohol and other liquid disinfectants. It creates a fine mist which makes it suitable for spraying both light and heavier coverings of all the aforementioned liquids. One thing I will mention is that you have to keep the nozzle wet/damp to stop it clogging up with paint if left for a little while, but that applies to most paint sprayers anyway. Apart from that, my only other gripe is that I wish the power cable was a little longer but, again, that is common on power tools these days and extension leads are easy to come by. Where the Meterk’s strength lies is in its compact design and ergonomics. It sits so nicely in the hand and has great balance, something that isn’t always easy to achieve for something priced so low. It is also very portable and also easy to clean. As for getting this thing working from the box, it’s a doddle. You need to clip on the trigger, screw on the pot (fill it with your fence stain first) and then plug and go. A word of caution wear a mask and do not set this thing to a very fine mist. The particles of creocote are seriously not good for your health if inhaled! Best budget: VonHaus Electric Paint Sprayer for Fences– if you really need to save twenty quid take a look at the Vonhaus – and was better in terms of less overspray
Diagonal– this setting will disperse a nummular spray pattern which creates an even spherical shape for large, wide surfaces. Another feature to look out for are fence sprayers with an adjustable flow rate. This is useful for two reasons. One, you can adjust the flow depending on the viscosity of the paint; and two, you can change the flow to get exactly the coverage you’re looking for. Since HVLP spray guns use a larger volume of air at low pressure, more paint is able to reach the surface you are painting. Painting large areas used to take days with the painstaking method of applying product with a brush. Fortunately, nowadays, the amount of time it takes to do even big jobs – like paint all the fences or decorate a room in the house – can be reduced by up to two thirds. The Ginour Fence Paint Sprayer makes it easy to spray bigger areas thanks to its large coverage and wide spray. On top of this, there are three spray nozzle sizes included; the 1.0 mm and 1.8 mm diameter nozzles work well with thin paint like sealants and varnishes, whilst the larger 2.6 mm diameter nozzle makes it easier to spray more viscous paint.INDOOR & OUTDOOR USE: Set the nozzle to vertical for tall and slim fence panels, to horizontal for wide and short interior walls, or to circular for larger ceilings, and get spraying! As far as a detail sprayer goes, I can’t call it that. For a start you have a fair bit of overspray (paint spitting everywhere basically). It performed well on the walls and ceilings, but for kitchen cabinets, unless you’re laying on water based and it’s flattening out nicely I would say no. Here’s a look at my tests to be sure though: What it does do however, is a great job of fences and as an electric fence sprayer its a pretty good bit of kit. I would probably go with the Vonhaus as it’s a tenner cheaper as I write this in Feb 2021. With two years warranty, and the 400W motor I do think it’s a buy, or it would not have made the review! I also like the extra paint fill screw cap on top. If you have a funnel then it saves the normal mess you make from entirely unscrewing the pot. Whilst there are some people who enjoy the task of painting with a brush, there’s no denying that it’s a long and time-consuming process. Sometimes this is fine, and a bit of leisurely painting is welcome; however, for those moments when you want to cut a 5-day task into a 1-morning situation, the VonHaus 400W Fence Sprayer is one of the best paint sprayers to have on hand to really speed through painting jobs. The VonHaus electric paint sprayer is what I would call the lowest powered of all the paint sprayers I tested but certainly the neatest. There’s a price to paint for the neatness though, and that is speed – as a kitchen cabinet sprayer it matches the Ginour but takes much much longer to produce the same results. Here’s a look at that:
One thing Terratek does well is make great looking products. Everything they design has a very modern, almost futuristic aesthetic, and this paint sprayer follows in that trend. And also that video reminded me of another good thing about this unit. With the motor being separate from the paint pot, there’s no weight pulling down as you tighten up and re-attach the pot to the sprayer, as a result, it doesn’t mis-thread which was a common problem on the other units I tested. Set the spray pattern and volume flow depending on each individual project with these handy adjustable features.

Saying that, it does have a decent 400 watt electric motor and on max settings, the flow rate is very good. I certainly didn’t think it was noticeably slower than any of the others, really. Larger projects, however, are more time-consuming. Not only that; they also require specialized machines.
