About this deal

Another personal airship of Bowser's, known as the Koopa Cruiser, appears in the Mario & Luigi series. This airship more closely resembles Bowser himself. A Collectible Treasure of Bowser's Airship (No. 112) can be found in the hangar of Bowser's Castle after Mario reaches Peach's Castle. It was initially bought by a Shy Guy who was excited about the airship, but became disheartened to the point of not wanting to keep it any longer after getting left behind at the hangar. Mario can return to the hangar to find this Shy Guy; when talked to, the Shy Guy will give the treasure to Mario.

In DK: Jungle Climber, an airship appears as the King Kruiser IV. It resembles a crocodile, and is heavily armed. In the latter stages of the game, the Kongs chase the King Kruiser IV to High-High Island. However, they miss the ship as it passes over the top of the island. In the level Space A Go-Go, Donkey Kong travels out of Planet Plantaen, chasing down the King Kruiser IV. Donkey Kong enters it through a small opening guarded by Kritters. The interior appears similar to the factory-themed levels found in the game. Same as usual except this time, at the end of each castle, the Koopalings have an Airship. Although this is not a level, Mario and the others can only battle them in it to end the castle level. Once beaten, the Airship dramatically crashed into unknown solids. In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, on the Mario Galaxy stage based off of the Super Mario Galaxy games, an airship from said games can be seen flying above the stage. Bowser's Airship, referred to as the Doom Ship, appears regularly throughout The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3. Like the airships in Super Mario Bros. 3, the Doom Ship is equipped with a large amount of artillery and also possesses a trait not seen in any games featuring airships: the ability to teleport to other locations. According to the bonus disc on the Shout! Factory DVD set, the Doom Ship was built by Kooky von Koopa. Unlike his video game counterpart, who is a card-carrying villain though still with morality, this version of Bowser is more anger-fueled and impatient. He also seems to be insecure and masks it with intimidation and aggression. He is an absurdly bad boss who mistreats his armies to dangerous extremes, at one point even burning one Koopa to bones for questioning to question him if Peach says "No". Gone from Bowser is his genuine affection for Peach in the video games; here, his feelings for her are portrayed in a far pettier light, almost to the point of Gaston's affections for Belle in the Disney film Beauty and the Beast, and he ultimately attempts to kill her when he is rejected by her. He is also a malignant narcissist and is unsympathetic to the lives of others, believing that Peach would enjoy seeing Luigi and Bowser's other prisoners being executed Mortal Kombat-style in a large volcanic fire pit. Bowser's the kind of character who won't give up on his goals easily; no matter how much disgust and contempt Peach has for him or however hard the humiliation he receives, he is determined to make her his wife and queen. His persistence is such that he will go to great lengths and sink so low to ensure he wins.

Storming out of the airship, Bowser demands that they open the gates or be killed. The Penguins do so, only to attempt to fight the Koopas by barraging them with snowballs. However, their size results in the snowballs barely affecting Bowser or his troops. After the king asks if he will give up, Bowser declines and signals Kamek to use his sorcery to move them aside. Bowser then uses his fire breath to destroy the icy kingdom, and Kamek uses his magic to levitate some debris for him to use as a staircase.
