About this deal

Teensy 4.1 from PJRC is an update of their already mighty Arduino-compatible board. As the minor revision number suggests, the new board is an extension that builds on the previously introduced 4.0. I am telling you, I tried from my personal home network, then I tried from my office, then I asked my friends all around India and for none of them it is not working. Once you have the software installed, running the venerable ‘Blink’ program that blinks the on-board LED every second is no harder than a typical Arduino.

Just how fast is it? The chart below shows the Teensy 4.x series compared to some other popular boards using the CoreMark Benchmark test. Larger numbers = faster performance. env:teensy41] platform = teensy board = teensy41 ; change microcontroller board_build.mcu = imxrt1062 ; change MCU frequency board_build.f_cpu = 600000000L Uploading 

LOL. Yes. The 1Ghz RT1072 wasn’t released until after the 600Mhz RT1062. Both carry the Cortex-M designation. If it is desired to separate the VSUB and VIN power inputs, there is a trace between two large solder pads that can be cut as shown here. If the module is normally powered through VIN, this prevents the USB power from also connecting to the board. report) to automatically switch to programming mode. Program Pushbutton / Pin If code previously written to Teensy is not listening for USB They are typically used to store sensor data, sound files, image files or similar types of semi-permanent or permanent data. Although the external Flash can’t be used for to increase the space for programs, in some cases it may help to extend program memory space by providing a place to store large data structures that can be read into the program as needed. Flash memory is supported in a number of different sizes. https://www.nxp.com/design/development-boards/i-mx-evaluation-and-development-boards/i-mx-rt1010-evaluation-kit:MIMXRT1010-EVK#t748

The DTCM bus is actually a pair of 32 bit paths, allowing M7 to perform up to two separate memory accesses in the same cycle. If you have any doubt, you ask any of your friends in India or worst case you try it on any VPN giving indian server, it won’t work. Memory not accessed on the tightly coupled buses is optimized for DMA access by peripherals. Because the bulk of M7’s memory access is done on the two tightly coupled buses, powerful DMA-based peripherals have excellent access to the non-TCM memory for highly efficient I/O. Tools > USB Type menu configures the type of USB device Teensy will implement. USB Device Teensy's primary communication is its main USB port, which operatates in USB device /Teensy 4.1’s USB Host port allows you to connect USB devices, like keyboards and MIDI musical instruments. A 5 pin header and a USB Host cable are needed to be able to plug in a USB device. You can also use one of these cables to connect to the USB pins.
