About this deal
However, it was easy to get used to the small spacebar - I’m “right thumbed” and it pretty much sits there with no problems.
Issues with multiple keypresses when the batteries are low, but all else is exactly what I want (including the hardware cursor keys). Alternatively try cleaning out the connectors and the switches with alcohol, then wait for it to dry (to be safe 2hrs wait) then try connecting it again. Majestouch MINILA Air is the MINI LAyout version of Majestouch and we've made it as compact as possible by sharing Function keys with other keys, it's most striking feature is the "double function keys" located on each side of the spacebar. If you want a bit different and can allow yourself to be flexible, then you may just find you fall in love with this unique device. When installing with a wireless connection, please use a DOS/V personal computer that has a Bluetooth HID Profile. Having said all that, I love the quirks of this little Bluetooth board and I can see a “modding” project to replace the cherry switches in this thing coming in my future (keep an eye here if you want to see that)!
With the Minila, I was able to take the board apart - first the frame - this is tough to do, almost as if they never thought anyone should do this. The Filco Majestouch MINILA is an interesting keyboard in terms of customization - some pro’s but definitely some cons. The function key problem is sometimes still a bit of a pain (I am a developer and use F-keys a lot), but I've got used to it.This idea is that this allows you to keep your fingers on the home row and to be able to hit all the functions as required without having to jump off. Mac layouts are fully supported on this keyboard with the designated switch to adjust Mac configuration. I went for the mx reds since I do a lot of typing in public places and despite liking tactility, perform better with linear switches.
