About this deal

There's sabotage on the school trip, in the seventh hilarious case in the award-winning Anisha, Accidental Detective series!

Except, Granny Jas has turned up as a surprise chaperone, and she won't stop showing everyone my embarrassing baby photos. And now someone is messing with our habitat project - breaking things and dumping litter on the beach.DELIGHTFUL! Perfect for younger detectives - so funny and clever and sweet" Robin Stevens, author of the Murder Most Unladylike series

I studied illustration at Kingston University, London, and my second children’s picture book was longlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal in 2005. I've since illustrated many titles for a wide variety of publishers and clients including Ladybird, Oxford University Press, Girlguiding, Bear Grylls Ventures, and Usborne. I'm rather fond of sneaking self portraits and/or bunny slippers into my illustrations. As you can probably guess, I love books and you can often find me making a fool of myself preaching the good gospel of the library to local school children. This is a highly amusing, fast-paced debut in a very promising new detective series. The humour is deft, the dialogue great and Anisha’s multi-generational British Indian family is an inclusive and wonderful world to escape into. This book is delightfully illustrated by Emma McCann in an expressive and amusing way – and the graphic elements of the text make this book accessible and a fun read. Great for children who like to laugh while they’re reading and perfect for fans of Pamela Butchart. We can’t wait to read the next book in the series, especially after reading the taster chapter at the end of the book! Someone needs to stop them, before they ruin all our hard work. Looks like a case for me, Anisha, accidental eco-detective! It is all about detectives and spies in our house still. My daughter has started her own detective agency with her friends where they pretend to solve mysteries (lost cats and missing items!) with a little notebook to write down clues (amongst other essential props!) In this story Anisha and her class have to put on a school play about Albert Einstein with only one weeks notice. Things start to go wrong though. First of all the roof collapses and then there's a star shaped hole in the stage curtain. There's a spooky mystery at school, in the sixth hilarious case in the award-winning Anisha, Accidental Detective series!
