Jeff Jarrett was subsequently suspended from TNA for the relationship and lying to Dixie. Kurt and Karen officially divorced in 2009 and the real life situation between all three participants was incorporated into a storyline in TNA. Karen and Jeff went on to get married. The manga series was abruptly canceled after the real life murder of Rikidozan. Kajiwara attempted to restart the series dating it after the wrestler’s death…but the series was not as popular and eventually canceled. Ikki Kajiwara did not stop there with creating pro wrestling themed Manga. In 1968, he went on to create one of his most successful graphic novel characters called ‘Tiger Mask.’ The story was about a villainous wrestler named Naoto Date who competed under the guise of Tiger Mask. The wrestler would ultimately have a change of heart and become good after meeting an orphaned child. Yuki Takizawa was under a WWE developmental deal between 2011 and 2012. His ring name during this time was known as ‘Jiro.’ After his release from the WWE, Takizawa returned home to Japan. In 2013, he was arrested after taking up skirt pictures of women at a local mall. The story made the mainstream media in Japan and to save face…Yuki Takizawa along with his boss wrestler/promoter Taka Michinoku held a press conference. Takizawa proceeded to apologize for his unscrupulous actions and shaved his long hair off in shame. So after splitting up his household into two camps to try and avoid complete annihilation, Jacob, understandably suffering insomnia, intends to spend the night alone — no doubt in desperate prayer. That sparked a bitterness inside of Road Dogg against Triple H and the WWE for several years to come. Road Dogg would bad mouth Triple H and the WWE in several shoot interviews and would call out Triple H and Vince McMahon while on TNA television. Thankfully, Brian Armstrong got himself clean and sober and is now once again employed by the WWE as a road agent.
In 1988, a lawsuit was filed against the National Wrestling Alliance, Kevin Sullivan, Mike Rotunda and the city of Albany. The person filing the lawsuit was a sixteen year old fan. The suit accused both Sullivan and Rotunda of “torturous acts and personal injury” to the young male fan. To be fair, there has been no evidence of any wrongdoing on the parts of either Dana Brooke or Luke Gallows. As far as we know, Brooke is in a relationship with Dolph Ziggler, not that relationships always matter in pro wrestling. At the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame inductions ceremony, Dolph was with Dana while Luke Gallows was with his son.Big Daddy’ Gene Lipscomb was a professional football player who moonlighted as a professional wrestler during the NFL’s off seasons in the early 1960’s. On May 10th, 1963, Lipscomb and a friend went drinking and partying all night long in Baltimore, Maryland. After partying, Lipscomb went to his friend’s apartment and they shared a bag of heroine. Hours later, his friend found Lipscomb slumped over his kitchen table. He called an ambulance and Gene Lipscomb was rushed to a nearby hospital. Former WWE “Diva” AJ Lee was trained by current Ring of Honor star Jay Lethal. The two would fall in love and begin dating in 2007 and would eventually get engaged. That is where this ‘love story’ takes a turn for the worse. AJ Lee would sign with the WWE after getting a tryout with the company. Now some people say this is a Christian being described. And some people say this is a non-Christian. And people have been saying those two things ever since Romans 7 was written. Whole movements have depended for their very life on the interpretation of Romans 7. One side says there is too much bondage to sin for a Christian. The other says there’s too much desire for good for a non-Christian. You can’t be a Christian and be bound to sin and you can’t be a non-Christian and desire to keep the law of God. And therein is the conflict of interpreting the passage.
The late Bobby Heenan made no secret of his personal hatred for The Valiant Brothers (Jimmy, Johnny and Jerry) in his books and in interviews. He said that the Valiants couldn’t get over as heels without him as their manager. He also referred to them as cheap con artists and went as far as calling Jimmy Valiant “a pig.” Why all the hostility and bad feelings…hatred he took with him to his grave? There is an urban legend that Heenan witnessed Jimmy give his own son a tattoo on his forehead as a child. Independent wrestler Mikey G. aka Michael Gordon may look familiar to WWE fans. He jobbed to Braun Strowan on an episode of Monday Night Raw in 2016 under the alias of “Steven Splash.” Aside from wrestling, Mikey G is also a stand-up comedian. Mikey G was booked for a comedy club in St. Louis, Missouri but according to him, the owner of the club began screwing with him. Duggan waited for the boyfriend to get up and go to the bathroom. When he followed him inside, the two began to fight, that is when Duggan began pummeling the boyfriend into a bloody mess. Gordy had to step in and break it up before Duggan did any serious damage. The boyfriend was hospitalized and pressed charges against BOTH Duggan and Gordy. The two would surrender to police, be jailed and released on bond.

Despite the urban legend…Randy Orton proceeded to dump self-tanning lotion and baby oil into Rochelle’s gym bag ruining her belongings. While it did appear like feces…Rochelle denies the myth that Orton actually defecated in her bag. She then reported the actions to top WWE executive John Laurinaitis and quit the company.
In the 1990’s, World Championship Wrestling held TV tapings at Disney/MGM studios in Orlando, Florida. One of the rules by both Disney and WCW management, was relationships between wrestlers and Disney talent was forbidden. This, despite having both sides interact with each other in the commissary during WCW TV tapings. On one day of tapings, a woman portraying ‘Snow White’ went down to the cafeteria where the wrestlers were on break having dinner. Joe Coburn died of pneumonia at the age of 55. He left behind a wife and two year old son, It was reported that he died penniless from bad investments and excessive spending habits. Many of the wrestlers took a liking to the woman, but stayed away from her due to the strict rules implemented. Paul Wight aka ‘The Giant’ who was recently married to his first wife, decided to approach Snow White anyway. The two began talking and according to Wight, ended up in a boiler room and had sex.

This latest entry into the ‘Wrestling With Sin’ series is a bit different than most others. The subject is a man named Ikki Kajiwara and while he was not a wrestler, referee or promoter…he did have an influence in puroresu aka Japanese professional wrestling. This is the story of how his creativity helped move puroresu forward and how scandals and tragedies befell him. Now there is nothing easy about victory in the Christian life; it is a struggle. You will not be able to go to some weekend seminar and come out victorious. You will not be able to have some peak spiritual experience and defeat your flesh. You must be a spiritual realist like Paul. You must be able to spot sin, and one thing you must know if you are to have victory, is that you will not get it from the O.T. Law. The one thing you must understand is this: All the young men involved with the robbery were arrested after one of the boys parents discovered the money and turned his own son in to authorities. His son was granted immunity for testifying against the other members of the gang which included MVP. MVP was charged with robbery and kidnapping and sentenced to 18 1/2 years in prison. After serving 9 1/2 years of that sentence…MVP was released on good behavior. Of course, MVP was able to turn his life around and use pro wrestling as an outlet. The rest as they say…is history. Gus also had great success wrestling in Mexico and won the EMLL Middleweight title on two occasions. Kallio wrestled for close to 40 years…retiring in the early 1950’s. After his retirement from wrestling, Gus became an entrepreneur opening up several businesses including a Bath House, a gym and a roller rink. In 1959, Kallio suffered a stroke and decided to sell off all of his business interests.
