About this deal

They have access to two new abilities (on top of the traditional Gloomspite ones): Snarlfang’s Jaws gives them a chance to do up to 6 damage to an enemy engaged (on a 6 depending on the ability’s value), while Ferocious Ponce guarantees that damage at the end of a move phase, but also depends on the ability’s value meaning it seems a bit overpriced as a Quad.

Grots are omnipresent so it’s no surprise they can be found in large numbers even in the Eightpoints, either by searching some glass for their potions or other sneaky and nefarious tasks. There’s even who says that some shamans madder than others are trying to call the Bad Moon over the Varanspire… If you love Squigs in either 40k of Age of Sigmar you are not going to want to miss this article on how to field an army of them! This army is a great starting point for a 2000 point squig army, where you already have 4 leaders (2 of them wizards), a behemoth, and plenty of troops that can cover ground and deal mortal wounds. In the next article, we bring this army up to 2000 points by adding in another battleline and some heavier hitting behemoth models. All in all, there are many ways to start your warband. Not the cheapest options (since models are from multiple different boxes) but certainly one of the coolest warbands out there.Rabble Rowsa: Not really bad just not so useful with a Jaws of Mork army. His most important ability is Get Goin’ you Gitz, which allows monsters to run and charge. It just isn’t that useful with Mangler Squigs which can often do that anyway if the Bad Moon is willing. Take this guy with Gargants in his regiment of reknown. Or maybe Ironjawz. Or maybe even Spiderfang Grots. This article will build a 1000 point army, followed by another one that then takes what we do here and makes a 2000 point build. But how do they play on the tabletop? Let’s take a look at their fighters and abilities. Overview and Points for the Fighters in the Gloomspite Gitz Warband If you’re drawn to Gitz and want an easier time, go run out and grab yourself a Trugg’s Troggherd box and run his subfaction or Glogg’s Megamobb. If troggs aren’t your thing, a more mixed army with Stabbas and Shootas screening your Bounderz and Manglers will probably work better than this all squig nonsense. But if I can do it you can. So if you’re ok with losing a bunch of games as you go and you really really really love squigs give it a shot. The Best List This is a fun army to play as there is so much randomness to it. You really can’t control the movement of a lot of your units so when planning out your move think about what the average will be and go from there. Your heavy hitter is your general, so you want to have him dish out as much damage as possible before you opponent takes him down. It’s not a bad idea to cast mystic shield or your madcaps unique spell on him to make him a little more survivable as well. Also, one big weakness is the bravery of your units so be sure to save a command point or to, in case you need to use inspiring presence.

Warshcrawla Sloggoth : As you can see by now I’ve gone very far off the original “squigs only” theme. But where the Marshcrawla is concerned it’s been absolutely worth it. Finally, an aura so big it can keep up with my army. Well most of it; even 18″ isn’t big enough to catch any units you have to send off on the flanks. But the +1 to hit has been great and it also gives me another fairly nasty monster to send in in a pinch. Gloomspite Gitz saw some point adjustments, mostly going down to justify the overall decrease in Wounds and Strength, bringing the basic Grot to a mere Strength 2. Biggest loser is the Cave Squig that got quite nerfed, but it also costs half now. Biggest winner the Scuttleboss that saw Strength and Damage going up but also his points by 35! This gives you a glass cannon of a general, a great magic user, and another boss model that can buff your squigs turn 1 to get them into combat. With the last 180 points I think you should add another magic user with the Madcap Shaman to round out your 4 leaders, and a unit of elite squigs with a unit of Boingrot Bounderz.
