One of my favorite things about OBX is the budding love triangle between Kiara, JJ, and Pope that we can only hope to see more of in season 3. So why not read about an epic love triangle between Belly and brothers. Jeremiah and Conrad in The Summer I Turned Pretty. also there’s this weird plot hole where kiara somehow knows the love interest at the beginning of the book but then at the end she doesn’t know her at all. makes no sense. i was waiting for it to be explained how they were acquainted for the whole book but then kiara is all like “what’s her name? georgia?” and it just didn’t make sense. The majority of the novel's action occurred during their college years in the 60's in Alabama. I was taken in by the girls' relationships and the ways their friendships ebbed and flowed.

Outer Banks on Netflix is definitely a guilty pleasure show, and if you love it, you REALLY love it. You can try and persuade everyone you know to watch it, but no doubt a lot will pass it off as a lame show about teenagers looking for gold. Which to be honest, is their loss. One less person in the quest for JJ’s heart if you ask me. So, it’s time to truly separate the men from the boys, or shall we say the Pogues from the Kooks, in this Outer Banks season two trivia quiz.

I think this is the second Anne Rivers Siddons book I ever bought and read (on the strength of how much I enjoyed "Hill Towns"). Many years later I am belatedly revising it and enjoying it afresh.

Her boyfriend Paul Sibley, a prostitute's son whose mother took the last name of a construction company her brother worked for, who dumped her to marry the rich Ginger Fowler. Then there's Cece Hart, a girl we never really got to know, and the dumpling Fig Newton who was made fun of and grudgingly accepted.
