About this deal

Shop our huge range of wholesale card making supplies to create your very own handmade greetings cards and crafts. Whilst it's important to set your orientation within your document, it's equally important to ensure that you've done the same for your printer driver too. Most printers will have specific options for printing in landscape or portrait, so just follow the manual instructions provided with your device to accurately set your device to print in the correct orientation. Colour printing vs mono printing Standard copier and printer paper tends to be anywhere from 70 to 100 GSM. Meanwhile, stationery such as letterheads and compliment slips usually come in 100gsm to 120gsm, signifying their importance. These paper products, also known as offset paper, are uncoated and designed for rapid and repeated printing. The final thing that you need to consider before you send your print request is the colour settings. In addition to card printing, we now have 3 crafting printers the Epson ET-8500, Epson ET-8550 and the Canon PIXMA TS9550 printer. The Epson ET-8500 and ET-8550 printers will print up to 800gsm (1.5mm), but for media above 300gsm, you will need to print through the straight paper path. The Canon TS9550 will print up to 300gsm and is a Canon-recommended crafting printer.

You can edit the size of your document to fit the paper that you’re using in the pre-print dialogue box - just follow the instructions and you'll be able to scale your document to the size that you desire. Get the orientation right If a printer cannot produce high-quality images that accurately reflect the designs that you are looking to print, the device is not fit for purpose.

Which Paper Weight Is Best?

We reserve the right to verify or ask for written proof of a competitors offer before we beat the price. Those wishing to print on 250gsm or 256gsm may well have more choice when choosing a new card printer. The slight thinner media is able to pass through the printer paper path more easily, so the robustness called for in a 300gsm printer is not quite as important.

I had an IT technician have a look at it, for free, yesterday and it’s def’ a goner, as if it had only been the paper jam bar that needed replacing, he could have found me a new one, But the mechanism on the right hand side has gone too. I am looking for a printer (laser ideally for speed) that can print additional information onto existing leaflets/flyers. I’m a photographer and use a QR code system for managing volume photography events. So for school photography every child gets a QR code that is photographed at the start of their sessions and when the images are uploaded the software automatically puts the images in the corresponding galleries. In addition to our selection of essential colour options available, the A3 paper & A3 card within our range also comes available in a host of different textures, such as pearlised, metallic and materica, so you can rest assured that you’ll be able to find the card that perfectly suits your requirements. Double and Single Sided A3 Paper & Card Available We endeavour to ensure that all images are as close to the true colour as possible, however we cannot guarantee the colour representation is exact. There can sometimes be shade variations between different batches of envelopes. There can also be variations when viewing on different monitors/screens depending on the settings etc.

What about 250gsm Printers?

Materials can be costly so you'll want to avoid waste where possible, but that's not always easy, especially if it's your first time printing on a different type of paper.

In particular, keep an eye out for the printer's supported weight range - if your printing material's weight falls within this weight category, you should be okay to start printing!

With most documents and devices, you'll be able to specify that you're printing onto heavy-duty material and the printer will automatically adapt the printing process to both the weight of the media and the finish, such as glossy or matte. According to the type of brochure and the kind of binding used, you can choose from the paper grammages set out here. I have done SO much research on wedding stationary and paper but i think im at the point where my brain will not understand/ convert wedding stationary unit (lb or 10pt) versus gsm vs gm/2.

The default orientation in most documents will be 'portrait', which means the image that's printed out will be taller than it is wide. On the other hand, you could choose to print in a 'landscape' orientation - this is a style that's shorter and wider, which is better suited to documents such as photographs and artwork. If you are setting a fold in colour, we recommend scoring from a grammage of 170 gsm onwards so that the colour does not split at the fold. There are a couple of factors that will impact the print quality that you see in your final product - these are:
