About this deal

These are different, but there is a similar overall powdery-aromatics & a musk/white-musk vibe, although the soft purple tones are lavender in English Laundry Signature and iris-violet in The Dreamer. English Laundry Signature has a more forward woody accord, while The Dreamer has more forward iris-violet accords. Both have good performance. The flavour lasts up to 9-12 hours on my skin,( although this new version is not exatly the same as the original from 90's but it's pretty close to it!). Edit: Unexpectedly, in the far drydown, The Dreamer actually becomes a very pleasant scent! I think I also heard Jeremy Fragrance say this come to think of it. In the end it's like the scent of a dry, white bar of soap mixed with a (prada l'homme like) powdery patchouli and a flowery tobacco! This is really nice but I don't know if I can live with that opening and first hour of wear before it finally gets there! I think it has to do with the iris and maybe a patchouli being 100% subdued during the first hour. When it comes to season, colder temperatures definitely fit the best – fall and spring are perfect seasons for it. You can wear it during summer too, but only during nighttime, as high temperatures during the day will cause the sweetness to be a bit “too much”. I wouldn’t recommend that you wear The Dreamer during winter as it will basically have no effect – very cold temperatures won’t allow it to open and dry down nicely and express all the beautiful chords that it has.

Up from the bottom notes comes the note that most connects me to Rome and that is the fir note which is so reminiscent of the beautiful umbrella pines in the city. Redolent with green resin and wonderfully bright and sharp this note dominates the fragrance from the late middle though the dry down. There is a touch of Tonka bean which is ever so light like the cream on the top of a morning cappuccino. Vetiver and Cedar round down the notes and it all seems like a lazy summers dream under the afternoon sky in Rome. When i first got it i couldn't help keep respraying it i loved it that much but now i like to keep it for those nights where i am feeling anxious about something as it will instantly have that calming affect on me. Versace Dreamer cologne is a complex and intriguing scent characterized by a rich blend of wild and aromatic plants. While the potent mix of florals and tobacco is unusual, it results in a simple, balanced, and well-built formulation that’s both clean and summery.

Drug Interactions

This is also entirely personal and has nothing to do with the juice inside, but I love the bottle. I can't articulate why but it's one of my favorites. Simple and elegant and doesn't look or feel cheap. Versace always does a good job with presentation. For the price it's an incredible value (no worries about buying a tester, too, since there's no cap), although I guess I can see why it might not be everybody's cup of tea. It's quite different from anything else I've smelled. The fragrance is also available in a three-piece men’s gift set. The Dreamer’s gift set includes the cologne bottle, foaming gel, and aftershave — all with the same notes. Usage

The flavour lasts up to 9-12 hours on my skin! Although the new version is a little bit different and less strong like this (the original one from the 90's).It's even long lasting and a very special scent for a very good price! These are different, but there are similarities with the powdery-aromatic vibe, although the soft purple tones are lavender in Le Male and iris-violet in The Dreamer. Le Male has more forward vanilla & cinnamon accords, while The Dreamer has more forward iris-violet accords. Both have excellent performance. It's a miracle! My favoutite fragrance! Real Masterpiece! Mystical emotions, romantic mood. I step instantly into an other dimension by smelling this scent and i'm always entranced by it! Just like his name says: i'll be a dreamer. I feel as if i were a persian prince from the tales ( like in the 1001 arabian nights) who's waiting for his secret lover under favour of the night in an oriental palace garden, under the million stars in the moonlight....

Miscellaneous

Dreamer is a nice masculine and any guy can wear it. Best in warmer weather because of its freshness. Feminine women love it on a man. But some hate it. Just like any other fragrance that has been on the market for over 20 years, lots of questions pop up when people start talking about it, especially when they just find out about it. So in this segment, we’re going to cover those questions. Is Versace The Dreamer unisex? He answers to nobody and rarely has to - his unfiltered knows-no-limits approach to life excites and intimidates.

The results? A resounding success, though rarely spoken about in mainstream publications and without the advertising campaigns that Joop! Homme and Le Male benefited from; The Dreamer forged its own path of word-of-mouth success by offering a timeless tobacco, lavender and floral core with a creamy tonka and herbal, woodsy fir and rootsy vetiver. The Dreamer remains, for me, one of the original stars of Versace, along with Versace Man from 2003. It is very versatile and reasonably easy to use, despite its uniqueness. When the first days of August have passed, then you sit sometimes at the evening garden table, enjoy a glass of Portuguese red wine, and you remember.

I remember the first time I smelled this one. I hated the opening. It was so strange. But after 10min I like it. I ended up buying a bottle. After 3 years I can say that I love this. It's definitely unique and dreamy.Versace managed to make these notes and their aroma chemicals smell as close as old Dreamer, which is pretty impressive. You feel the most of tobacco notes from the base once it fully opens, and after that, it’s dominant the smell of fresh sweet lavender which is actually a note of iris in this case. I wear it primarily for casual weekend wear but it’s polished enough, I could see it working for evening/romantic wear — less clubbing and more walks in the snow and gathering around the fire.
