Slavery and its consequences has been a hot topic in recent months and no sane person can condone it. In all, between November 1830 and March 1832, Black Joke and Fair Rosamond accounted for 11 of the squadron's take of 13 slavers. AE Rooks tells the compelling story of a slave ship that ended up as a scourge of its former trade off the coast of 19th-century West Africa.
