About this deal

What is POI? ‘Point of Interest’ data offers users information about a specific place, its is location, what it’s purpose is and all sorts of other information on it. POI data can be extremely helpful to answer all sorts of important questions or needs when driving in your RV. As the technical use for the TomTom Go Professional range is on large vehicles, you will find a huge variety of POI’s specifically for these sets of vehicles. This comes in use massively when you have a much larger vehicle and need areas suitable for your camper. Mapping for UK, Eastern and Western Europe and traffic services are both provided for free for the lifetime of the TomTom GO PROFESSIONAL 620. Connectivity to the traffic information is via your smartphone with the TomTom GO PROFESSIONAL 620. We do not recommend using a third party charger with this product. A mobile phone USB charger or a laptop may not be powerful enough to reliably charge the TomTom GO PROFESSIONAL 620 and may provide an incorrect voltage or insufficient power.

buildings also feature on the screen mapping helping you to identify where you are and also helps with finding the right turn off at junctions. Bluetooth capabilities also mean that your smart phone and sat nav can work in sync with each other. This means that the TomTom will read texts aloud and calls can be accepted using voice activation for a truly hands free experience. Lane Guidance The TomTom 520 and TomTom 620 are much cheaper comparable to the TomTom Go Camper. You will lose some of the specific points of interest for campervans, but you will gain a cheaper model that is capable of routing your large vehicle If you need to unplug, the GO 620's internal rechargeable battery can last up to one hour per charge; it's nowhere near the three hours that the TomTom VIA 1515M can provide, but there's a lot more going on inside the GO 620 to drain the power. Voice control across all models enables full control whilst driving and the well designed user interface creates a beautiful platform for easy and hassle free use. You can plan your routes on the GPS interface as well as on your phone, tablet and PC through the TomTom MyDrive system. With only a few small routing, software and signal issues, we rated the Go Professional range highly.

TomTom GO 620 Wi-Fi

Hands-free control of your Sat Nav is another feature that is reasonably rare across the models we’ve reviewed, although the TomTom Go Camperand the Garmin 780 all also have this capability. The voice control was easy to use by saying the phrase “Hello TomTom” and once you learn the commands, routing and changes were simple and effective to make. In terms of design, the TomTom GO 620 is slim, sleek and has a 6-inch capacitive touchscreen. The screen resolution of 800 x 480 pixels is what you'd expect of most car GPS devices, as is the ability to power it through the DC charger in your car. The sat navs within the TomTom Go Professional Range are nearly identical to each other in design and software. There are a few subtle changes that we’ll cover in the next key features section, but the look of the software is all the same. To take you through my first experiences, I’ll be explaining my first use of the TomTom 6250, but the experience will be the same throughout the rest of the range due to the identical software. Smartphone messages can be read out by the sat nav allowing you to keep your hands on the steering wheel and eyes on the road ahead. Hands-free calling is also possible using the TomTom's in-built Bluetooth technology. There are 2 main reasons why buying a TomTom Go Professional for your motorhome is a good idea compared to the TomTom Go Camper which is aimed purely at motorhomes / campervans and Caravans

The TomTom 6200 and 6250 come equipped with a built in sim. This allows live traffic and speed camera updates automatically via the provided sim card, with no need to connect to your smart phone. However there is a small difference between these 2 models. TomTom Traffic and Speed Cameras are included with the TomTom GO PROFESSIONAL 620 for the lifetime of the TomTom satnav. With the TomTom GO PROFESSIONAL 620 you get the traffic information via your Smartphone. These maps can be updated FREE for the lifetime of the product, when you register your TomTom with TomTom. WiFi connectivity allows you to update software and mapping on the device directly without the need to connect to a computer. The TomTom Go Professional Range has a choice of a 5″ or 6″ touchscreen. The breakdown is as follows: The 6200 has free sim usage for 1 year. Following this 1 year, it becomes a paid service. You can view the update to date monthly and yearly pricing for this service here. Displays your route, speed limit, current speed, time of arrival, name of current street and it can also display points of interest such as food, fuel and cash machines.
