Seems like a transfer error most likely? It's more minor on some films like Atlantis, but it's extremely distracting on others like Torment.

Having gone over the set yet further and looking at some of the extras, I can confirm it's not any fault of the transfer that The Last Night has a choppy frame-rate. According to one of the interviews, it was shot on a wind-up camera, Murphy describes it as 'juddery' and with terrible sound, which both match the film as presented on the BD. Perused a few films, and the transfers look good asides from one big issue: for some reason there are visible lines across the screen on the video?? Mostly vertical but a few horizontal, it's more noticeable on some films rather than others, it's not damage so much as it is like a faint pattern overlaid overtop the entire duration of the films.
