Although Fallon undergoes a lot of growth throughout this book, she kind of annoyed me at the beginning (and middle) with her obsession with the prince (not a spoiler- it’s literally mentioned in the synopsis). Olivia does a fantastic job of creating a fantastical world where the history of a species was erased. If you enjoyed the telepathy aspect in Fourth Wing, you will definitely enjoy “House of Beating Wings. There was the right balance between action scenes and character development for me; although this book is more on the action packed side.

As long as you're not hurting/endangering yourself or others I won't be commenting on it because it's none of my business nor anyone else's. As with most high fantasies novels, especially the beginning of a series, there will always need to be an introduction to a new world but Olivia takes her time to expose these intricacies piece by piece, woven into the dialogue and action, which makes for an overall excellent experience.
