About this deal

Mattel tried to make the best of the design by adding a snake face to the mountain and a green snake that popped out from the side, but it wasn’t the Filmation pointy mountain peak, lava waterfall, snake structure we all knew; I’ll tell you that much! Yes, it had a ladder, hand cuffs, a suspension bridge, and even some stairs that were too narrow for your figure to climb up; but it was the Snake Mountain that we got, and we all learned to love it over time. Masters of the Universe Snake Mountain Exterior At first, it was a image of Serpos, with three heads like the snake god, but during the time, two heads disappeared, leaving only one and the body somewhat damaged. On September 29, Mattel toys invited Nerdist and other outlets to a special celebration of Masters of the Universe‘s 40th anniversary. Mattel gave us a preview of several additions to the line for 2023. Not only did we see the new toys and behind-the-scenes details on the toys’ creation, we also got a special Masters of the Universe tour of Mattel HQ in El Segundo, California. Including a peek into Mattel’s “Eternia Room.” There, the company archives 40 years of Masters of the Universe products. You can see the Eternia Room below: Mattel Toys Mattel Toys Mattel Toys Mattel Toys Mattel Toys Mattel Toys Mattel Toys Mattel Toys Mattel Toys The episode Masks of Power reveals that many centuries ago, the Sword of the Ancients was thrust into a boulder of pure quartz, deep beneath Snake Mountain, and forgotten. According to the Sorceress, it is the most powerful weapon on Eternia, next to He-Man's Sword of Power. To get to throne, figures must pass by the wolf head and the intimidating spider. To get out, they must watch out for the 'acid pool' on the way to the hidden escape tunnel.

New features include actual floors inside the Grayskull and Viper towers, and new ways to display the gun turrets. Foot pegs allow for more deluxe display options, and the lion arms will feature a wider range of motion, with ball joints controlled by an “orb of power.” RELATED: William Shatner to Be a Voice in Masters of the Universe: Revolution

Specifications

Forty years ago, the minds at Mattel Toys had a brilliant idea. Combine the aesthetics of Conan the Barbarian with the sci-fi action of Star Wars for a new line of action figures. The result was Masters of the Universe, a toyline that gave birth to a franchise. Although the line’s popularity was most prominent in the ’80s, the kids who grew up with He-Man and Skeletor’s eternal struggle never forgot. Masters of the Universe continues to grow to this day.

New details include a removable dungeon cage that can go underneath trap doors on either side. Skeletor gets his bone throne, and an acid pit base features pegs that can either attach included monsters, or Origins figures torsos to make it look like they’re half-submerged. There won’t be an electronic microphone, but the exterior manacles will now be soft and flexible to fit around figure wrists without breaking. They’re still working on how to recreate the bridge-split feature. Foot pegs and wider walkways allow for more figure display options. Snake Mountain made several appearances in the minicomics. Its depiction varies, but it tends to include both elements of the Filmation series as well as the appearance of the toy.If you want to see our full review and actual in hand images of all of Wave 13, head over to our MOTU Origins Wave 13 Review In Hand Review!
