About this deal

Thankfully it was easy enough to catch up and work most of it out, except now I want to read book one because what a TREAT! I also love all of Nell's friends that are all going through their own stuff but come together in a mad group and Edward too I really love their relationship it all felt real not like a Hollywood relationship but one with all the nitry gritty bits no one talks about. Is organizing a wedding as simple as ‘drinking champers with my friends, trying on gorgeous dresses, picking out beautiful flowers and laughing with gay abandon’, or is it spreadsheets, budgets, mothers and trying not to offend absolutely everyone? This audio edition is brilliantly and hilariously read by Sally Phillips, known for her performances in Bridget Jones's Diary and Smack the Pony . After thoroughly enjoying Confessions of a 40-Year-Old F***Up, I was thrilled to hear there was a sequel.

And then there’s the ‘unexpected baggage’, things you thought you’d dealt with and suddenly find that you haven’t. I absolutely loved this book, her first Confessions of a Forty Something F*** Up ended up being one of my favourite books so I knew I had to read this one, and it was just as good. Everyone no matter what age you are needs to read this because it's true and we don't always feel like we have our shot together.

The pre-loved books are carefully cleaned and maintained offering a wide variety of general and specialist titles from children's to adults. Please include what you were doing when this page came up and the Cloudflare Ray ID found at the bottom of this page. There’s so much pressure now on social media to sort of have this perfect life and the book says that that's just not reality. Very enjoyable and entertaining book with the telling of life how it is with none of us achieving perfection or things turning out as we may have planned.

Kriketas lnija šoreiz man patika vēl jo vairāk - ir iedvesmojoši domāt, ka viss notiek un nav par vēlu arī tad, kad tev jau ir 80+, ne tikai 40+. We revisited our favourite friendship duo Nell and Cricket, went in a trip to LA, saw a couple of weddings, babies and navigated ‘love in later life’. But then something happened that no one expected, turning the world upside down in a way no one could have ever imagined. After not long reading the first book and enjoying it, I was looking forward to this one but wasn’t sure where else the storyline could go. Life, like us, is a sum of moving parts, and if we’re lucky, we get to keep f**king up, figuring it out and laughing in the face of it all.She is good for Nell and reminds her that ‘you can have everything but if you lose [your sense of humour] life can’t be much fun’. Synopsis (It's a fiction book, so it helps…from Netgalley, the provider of the book for me to review. And revisiting LA with Cricket is an opportunity for Nell to take a look at the life, and people, she left behind. With grateful thanks to NetGalley, Pan MacMillan and Alexandra Potter for my advance ebook in exchange for an honest review. It was the smash hit book about a life gone awry which lifted readers’ spirits during the pandemic with its relatable brand of comic despair.

I really enjoyed this book and I felt like I can really connect with Nell as she tries to navigate life in her forties. Life, like us, is a sum of moving parts, and if we're lucky, we get to keep f**king up, figuring it out and laughing in the face of it all. With relationships tested, Nell learns that falling in love might be easy, but staying in love can be hard.

Having read and thoroughly enjoyed the first book in this series , I have to say this was an even better and funnier read. There's romantic love for current partners, past partners, and lost partners, love for your friends, love for your children, love for strangers, and love for yourself.

This takes us through Nell’s life after she thinks she’s finally figured it out and her life is back on track. I admit I winced when I weighed this thick tome in my hands and I raised my eyebrows at the title but I really didn’t need to.Having spent a large amount of her time alone in her flat, she's looking forward to being able to get out and about again with her boyfriend, Edward, and her friends. Although creating your own coffin… maybe I’d pass on that 😂 This sequel to Confessions of a forty-something f**k up did not disappoint! No old lady hair’ should have been included in our wedding vows as my husband has made me promise this on numerous occasions.
