About this deal

Since it has a lot of robust flavors of bananas, slightly weird artificial banana flavors pop up at moments. A bolder heat intensifies with robust banana flavors but not overpowering the drink. There are more vanilla, oakiness, and fruity hints of apricot and cherry. This Triple Mash has a lovely velvety texture with prominent and pleasant notes of vanilla, honey, oak, subtle rye spice, and freshly baked banana bread coating our tongue.

Tasting Date/Vessel: September 11, 2022 – Neat in Glencairn Glass; Then with a splash of distilled water. Nose For us, we’re giving it a 3-star rating. For its price point, it offers significantly more value in quality than most bottom-shelf whiskeys and other mid-shelf whiskeys. Sporting three different mash bills, it doesn’t have harsh notes meddling in our palate, and for its price point, it piles on the value and quality of the whiskey. Orange peel hints from the nose linger on the palate with banana, oak, and mellow vanilla notes. We’re not satisfied with its body; it feels thin, but it’s not bad.

Wine at a glance

A blend of three bonded whiskeys with pleasant notes of honey, malt, & soft oak leading to a long lasting well rounded finish” The combination of three-bonded whiskeys from Brown Forman creates a new profile, resulting in a more approachable dram but lively than its standard lineup. This J. Daniel’s Triple Mash Blended whiskey gives a satisfying finish. It’s long-lasting, with the spice of rye getting bolder, combined with the baking spice and caramel hints.

If you’re after the proof, both are bottled at 50% ABV, and comparing their price, JD’s bonded is a better option since it’s cheaper. Dried cherries, sweet cream, vanilla, orange zest, oak, copper, roasted grain, baking spice, and a slight tannic bite. https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/food/bottled-in-bond-was-created-to-protect-drinkers-in-the-1800s-now-the-label-has-a-new-appeal/2019/07/29/218c7fcc-af25-11e9-bc5c-e73b603e7f38_story.htmlWe deliver to a number of international destinations including the USA. Please use the 'Change Location' link above for an estimate in your local currency or find out more about international delivery Nose: I get individual notes of cherry cola, banana nut bread/ banana seeds, red licorice. All together it’s bubblegum and maple sugar. A very enticing nose that is rich with some complexity. After sitting for a minute, the oak as well as some nuttiness comes out more. There are waves of sugar maple charcoal evolving into brown sugar with honey, banana hints, toasted oak, vanilla, and cinnamon spice filling our nostrils. What I will do is say that unlike most of what we’ve seen from JD in recent years, these are indeed permanent expressions, both bonded, so over 4 years old and bottled at 100 proof. The 50% ABV expressions are also available for pre-sale through Reserve Bar, including a limited edition gift while supplies last.

The new bottlings will be available across the US from May, followed by international markets later this year. It has a warm hint of malt and soft oak, leading to a long-lasting, well-rounded finish. The warmth of the dram evenly coats deep down in our chest. It offers our entire nose with warm baking spice and gives fruity and bright flavors of honey, oak, and vanilla on the palate, with a slightly creamy mouthfeel. A good entry-level whiskey. At its price point, it offers far more value at a highly competitive rate.Of special note: Be aware that both bottles are 700ml instead of the standard 750ml, which was recently approved as an option in the U.S. Finish: The oak and some spicy cinnamon and caramel start of which last for quite some time. It tapers off into a little bit of the banana and fruity bubblegum. Taste Summary At 100-proof, it has a slight hint of oak barrel char with malt blend pops and a faint artificial banana flavor at the end of the sip. Why We Like It Medium-bodied, and we like how it coats the mouth with the different flavors of fruit (apple, apricot, and cherry), nutty banana biscuit, and a bit of rye spice. Nose

Mash bill comprises the traditional recipe: 80% corn, 12% malted barley, and 8% rye [ 1]. How They DifferAnd that’s a designation that Fletcher and his team, which includes Assistant Distiller Lexie Phillips, are trying to revive. They aren’t just a logo on a T-shirt. Swirling the whiskey in a Glencairn glass gives tons of banana bread notes on the nose with sweet layers of caramel, dried fruit notes, apricot, and dried cherries. During my visit, Fletcher and Philips hinted at some other bold new expressions arriving in the near future: More (and longer) age statement releases. And a bonded American malt…which, technically, could be called an American Single Malt, which might surprise some craft whiskey drinkers.
