About this deal

Repeated use actually drives the oils deeper in the natural nail, for results that only get better with time.

CND Solar Oil Cuticle Conditioning Treatment is an award-winning favorite among nail professionals and clients. Okay, the headline is probably overly dramatic, but I really am impressed in the difference this makes. For years I had acrylic nails and my nail lady (she was more than a “nail tech”; she was a good friend) always used this to help my cuticles and get my polish dry before I banged it in to anything. Creative Nail Design is the global leader in professional nail, hand and foot beauty including Shellac Brand 14+ Day Nail Colour. With CND products, nail and beauty professionals can discover endless possibilities to create stunning nail art designs, colour layering options, fashion trends and enhancements. CND''s award-winning and innovative products are available in the world''s finest salons and spas.

Repeated use drives nutrients in deeper, creating: stronger, healthier nails and hydrated cuticle area. Anything from dry, cold weather to repeated hand-washing can do a number on the skin on your hands, particularly your cuticles. In fact, they're even more prone to wear-and-tear since they surround the nails, which are constantly growing. While using hand cream to hydrate dry skin may be second nature, one important step that people tend to skip is cuticle oil. A step that, according to Paintbox Nail Studios Chief Educator Evelyn Lim, is key to having healthy nails.

Jojoba Oil carries the Vitamin E deeply into the skin, reducing visible signs of aging and keeping hands soft and supple. If you’re a keen extension wearer (hard gel or acrylic) then cuticle oil keeps the material ever so slightly flexible. Although this might not sound like a good thing because you want to keep your nails strong and sturdy, it actually does just that. If your nails aren’t flexible, they’re more prone to chipping and breaking. Today, I noticed that when I did this little routine, I had a lot of dead skin around my cuticles just dying to be removed (sorry, bad pun). So I did the little routine of getting the skin off with a little tool I have that has a v-shape blade on one end, cuticle pusher on the other. NOTE: careful if you use the blade, you CAN cut too deep and it really takes a while to heal. Anyway, with the Solar Oil, there was almost NO difficulty in collecting the dead skin. Much of it had already come loose with the rubbing. While there are many great ingredients in cuticle oils, jojoba oil and vitamin E are the top two to look for to help nourish skin, Lim says. For the best application, she suggests placing a small amount of oil at the base of the nail and along the sides, then gently rubbing it in. Follow by smoothing on a hand cream for a complete hand and nail treatment. Lim recommends applying it twice a day, but there is not such thing as "too much" when it comes to cuticle oil: More really is better. I’m retired and on disability, so no more mani-pedi’s for me. But recently I realized that some of the vitamins were really making my nails recover - likely the Biotin and Vitamin D. So I thought I’d give this a try and boy does it work. Moisturizing, beautiful cuticles, the works. Unless I’ve just put on fresh polish, I’ll put this on, give it a minute or two, then rub it in to each nail. Then I’ll just put a good hand cream on and rub everything in.The key to actually keeping up the habit of cuticle oil all lies in the formula and the application method. That’s why I always recommend CND to people. It’s a non-greasy formula that doesn’t feel suffocating or get in the way.
