Queen Elizabeth II and her lot are the focus of Peter Morgan’s glossy Netflix period drama following the UK’s royal family from Liz’s coronation all the way through the decades. With five series available and a sixth and final one on the way, it’s a look at a changing Britain and the rulers reluctantly forced to change alongside it. Exemplary casting and very fine storytelling. Slingsby T.9 glider. High performance single seat wooden glider. Built for the 1937 International Gliding Championships in Germany.

She appears to be estranged from her family. Plus the military man who got her pregnant isn't ready to be a dad.

f/f 27/05/1983, d/d 07/07/1983, w/o 30/04/1990 when a failure of one or more stator vanes started an uncontrollable fire in the right hand engine, This damaged to fly by wire control and other vital systems. The crew ejected 22 miles east of the base This psychological thriller, based on Louise Doughty’s bestselling novel of the same name, is the haunting story of Lisa (who will be played by Noughts and Crosses star Jasmine Jobson), a young girl who witnesses a cataclysmic event on a train station platform, before slowly discovering her life is connected to the events that she’s just witnessed. Expect a chilling mix of supernatural and contemporary realism when the series arrives on ITVX from December 7th. Lot No. 249 This historical psychodrama is based on the unbelievable true story of Mary Villiers, who moulded her beautiful and charismatic son George to seduce King James I and become his all-powerful lover, making them one of the most powerful families in the English court. The excellent cast stars the Oscar-winning Julianne Moore ( Still Alice) alongside Cinderella‘s Nicholas Galitzine and Mayflies‘ Tony Curran, plus Unforgotten‘s Nicola Walker and Malpractice‘s Niamh Algar. Filming took place earlier in the year and Mary & George will premiere in 2024 on Sky Atlantic and NOW, and on STARZ in the US. Murder is Easy Channel 4’s comedy drama Teachers starred a pre- The Walking Dead Andrew Lincoln as English teacher/man-child Simon, and a cast of characters in similarly arrested development. Set in a Bristol Secondary School, it’s a funny look at staff room chaos with a down-to-earth sense of humour (in its first couple of series at least). f/f 30/11/1982, d/d 15/02/1983, to St. Athan on 11/12/2001 for ground instructional use as 9316M, then to DCAE Cosford on 10/01/2006, to Jet Art, Selby on 30/05/2013, to Olivers Valves, Knutsford on 15/08/2013This three-part ITV true crime drama stars Luke Evans as Detective Superintendent Steve Wilkins, who, in 2006, reopened and solved a cold case from the 1980s using new forensic DNA evidence and, bizarrely, an episode of darts-based quiz show Bullseye. Keith Allen plays John Cooper, the man in Wilkins’ sights. The Pursuit of Love (May) Mark Rylance did a lot by doing very little in the BBC’s Wolf Hall adaptation. Playing crown advisor and treasurer Thomas Cromwell in this beautifully pitched adaptation of Hilary Mantel’s Booker Prize-winning trilogy, Rylance’s performance was all about understatement. Claire Foy and Damian Lewis are also great in this political period drama. This coming-of-age drama follows six students who find themselves returning to school after being excluded, and form an unlikely friendship group as outsiders with an indomitable will to succeed. Phoenix Rise‘s young cast of newcomers includes Lauren Corah, Alex Draper, Jayden Hanley, Krish Bassi, Tara Webb and Imogen Baker, and the series will begin airing on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer from Friday 24th March. Six Four This four-part Channel 4 drama, based on real events, starred The Virtues and Raised by Wolves’ Niamh Algar as an undercover police officer used in a honeytrap search for a killer in the 1990s. Written by The Tunnel’s Emilia di Girolamo, it took viewers behind the scenes on one of the UK’s most controversial police investigations. The working title was My Name is Lizzie. Devils (February)

David Nicholls’ bestselling romance novel was adapted into a 2011 feature film starring Anne Hathaway that, it’s fair to say, failed to set the world alight. This Netflix series looks like it’s going to be a much better bet. The lead cast includes two of 2022’s stand-out performers in This is Going to Hurt‘s Ambika Mod (pictured above), and White Lotus‘ Leo Woodall. They play Emma and Dexter, two young people who hook up at university on St Swithin’s day and whose lives we follow in elliptical chunks every July 15th since. Prepare for tears. Nicholls confirmed in July 2023 that filming began a year ago and there’ll be more news on a release date soon.
