About this deal

These PS4 exclusive touches really finish the wheel off nicely and give it that racing vibe. These weren’t included on the Xbox version due to restrictions with the Xbox architecture. Meaning Xbox gamers such as myself, miss out.

Some Logitech G27 owners went as far as to emulate this brake feel by putting a sliced-in-half tennis ball under the pedal, so it’s good to see Logitech has taken this on-board. in diameter, with a largely metal frame and finished with leather, it has a high-end-enough build to just-about give you enough ammunition to convince people it’s not a toy. Yes, we know it is one really. It positioned itself early on as the most consumer-friendly and budget-friendly racing wheel. And the reputation that Logitech had previously built with the G25 and G27 as a good quality, low-cost racing wheel manufacturer remained. Added a connection point on the top siding to secure the stand in a folded position (without leaning on the steering wheel)Shifter mount? Adjustable height? Adjustable pedal platform? These are just a few of the main features people are looking for in a stand. For our list, we wanted to provide you with a range of options depending on which features matter most to you. Quality

It takes a little bit of time to get used to, but after a bit of practice, you will be able to consistently hit your braking zones. Video game steering wheels (and pedal-boxes) make playing racing games/simulators alot more fun. Of course they do! And for the money they charge for them they better! But even if you decide to fork over the dough and buy one, it won't do you any good without something to mount it to. Off-the-shelf products do exist, but you can easily end up spending just as much for one as you did for your racing wheel and it might not work very well, hold up to abuse, or look good in your living room. There’s no bonus bling to the pedalboard, and it is one of the strongest reasons to recommend the Logitech G29 over its Thrustmaster rivals. While the base is plastic, the board is substantial, needing less securing than the oldest G-series sets. It’s a three-pedal setup: accelerator, brake and clutch. Each has a different tension style, mirroring what you get in a real car. The important improvement in the G29 is the brake. It’s progressive, with more tension at the end of its depression to give you much better control over the force of the brake and a more realistic. It’s a big improvement over the old wheels, and the pedal set included with the Thrustmaster T300 RS. I designed the stand in Pro/Engineer, and output .dxf files that I can open in Cut2D to generate the G-code I need to cut it on my homebuilt CNC router. The pedal-box hole layout on the baseplate is specific to the G920 and probably won't work with other brands, but the top plate should work with any wheel that has a clamping mechanism (I used the built-in clamps on mine even though it has threaded inserts for mounting bolts).

That is the crowd that these two racing wheels are meant for. And with that in mind, Logitech did a fantastic job of achieving what they set out to achieve. Let’s delve deeper and review all aspects of this racing wheel bundle. The parts are cut from 3/4" plywood. I generally prefer to use Baltic birch plywood because its dense layers makes for an attractive edge, and its generally free of voids which is nice when you're cutting partial depth slots as I am here. It is slightly heavier than other less-dense plywood but I find the trade-off to be worth it. The far left pedal is the clutch pedal, the middle is the braking, and the far-right pedal is the accelerator pedal. Wheels like the Logitech G29 Driving Force make driving games far more engaging, perhaps too much for those days when you just want to let you brain quietly vegetate after a stressful day of work. Relentlessly engineered for the perfect driving experience, Driving Force by Logitech G takes the latest racing games to the highest level. You simply haven’t experienced racing simulation if you haven’t grabbed your supercar by the wheel.

The feel of the Logitech G29 wheel is pretty much identical to the older G27. It seems it’s built to withstand punishment, and is far hardier than the cheap wheels you may have used until now. However, the upholstery is not quite supercar-grade: there was a bit of flabby flappiness to two parts on the rear.
